So, I got called into a meeting today, and rather than the usual bore-a-thon I was told my department is being moved to Malta, and they want us there by the middle of August. This was a total bombshell to all of us, there had been none of the rumours in the past few weeks you'd expect with such big news (big in terms of our office like, I'm not expecting it to make the papers), and before I knew it I'd said I'd go and was on websites looking at property. Other than family and friends I have no real ties here, but this won't be a secondment or a few months jolly-up, this is a full-on move and live in another country (one that looks quite dull, really, but there you go). Any experiences of this, anyone? Please tell me it'll work out great, ta.
