first exam tomorrow, 3 hours of war lit. probably should read idk mebbe.
she stoops to conquer and rime of the ancient mariner. yummy
now i can never think of the ancient mariner without thinking of that douglas adams book, whatchamacallit, the ones with dirk gently
reckon i will need it
I didn't read any of mine and did just fine. With English as long as you can write well and with some level of conviction, it doesn't really matter what the actual content of your answer is. Or else I just got a really lousy/great exam marker person.
and because ive learnt them they WILL be included whether they are relevant or not
i do hope i get a nice marker. but im more worried about my spanish really because it depends on what comes up on the day and its really difficult :(
but then last year i didnt read anything and got a D, so resat this year. tomorrow's exam is purely extracts so i dont need to have read anything. i need quotes & wider reading and stuff so i guess i'll do a bit of that tonight.
is infinitely more useful than the stuff you did all the rest of the year anyhow. Good luck!
the stress is really affecting me. i made a bad decision on conquer club earlier and now it feels like my life is ruined.
and threw a paddy
i have calmed down though. i started revising too late and now its like there is nothing i can do so i might as well calm down a bit.
wow im not the youngest. what options are you doing?
re, politics, history, psychology & sociology
i've only got one history exam left though. TOMORROW OHMYGOD. i'm too scared to revise.
i am aware that this is COUNTERPRODUCTIVE.
And how are your exams going so far?
what have you got tomorrow?i feel it is productive to rest
i cant really remember revising and i scraped a C, without taking any notes or attending or anything.
also, i remember thinking my politics went horrendously last year & expected to get a D/E/U, etc, and i was whining loads whaaaaaaaaa, and i came out with an A. yeah, i'm one of those utter cunts.
i guess it depends on exam boards too.
we haven't done any coursework.
i'm one of those utter cunts too, i'm just terrified my luck will run out, i've taken this NOT DOING ANY WORK business too far already. i deserve a good string of U's TO PUT ME BACK ON TRACK.
i have got as up until now without doing loads of revision but this time it is so much more difficult and i have probably got really complacent and it's stressing me out. if i get a string of u's then i can't go to university and that's bad.
I found doing coursework heavy subjects where my saviour flunking my A-Level ICT exams to be be saved by my coursework marks.
I'm sure you guys will all be fine. I say this, knowing nothing about you though so its probably bullshit.
my luck sorta did run out last year with unspectacular results, and then truly has done this year with less work than ever, and an F (an F!?!111!!) in january politics exam, that i'm redoing next week. oh god what the shit am i doing i dont think writing "dulce et decorum est, innit" will work tomorrow.
hopefully the trend wont continue.
i've probably been gradually getting worse academically since year 1, when i was top of the class and INCREDIBLE at mental maths tests.
oh god when i'm 30 i'll be RETARDED
i did more revision last year than for all french spanish and english put together. i found it super difficult.
i just keep thinking its ok you probably know more than you think you do. i do right? yes yes i do its ok
this is shocking. i was sure you were about my age.
my last exam was on thursday, isn't there only the history exams left?
Also, i realised recently what a bad selection of subjects i took
Biology, Physics, ICT, Sociology
They don't seem to work well together at all when looking at uni courses
Any useful suggestions would be appreciated!!
(Ideally i'd do zoology but chemistry is needed for this really)
Like, is it easy?
I'm thinking about taking it instead of politics
Probably my favourite subject, interesting to study but manageable.
Definately easier than politics, the people I know doing that are really struggling.
I'm thinking about taking it instead of politics.
that for most unis you odn't specifically need chem, just two science subjects so you should be fine.
on my own as i'm the only yr13 german student in my school.
You should choose a shit university (Manchester Metropolitan - 160 tariff points) then you don't have to revise, like me.
yet. so i dont have any results to really aim for, therefore less motivation. rubbish
whilst I dance in full time student wonderland.
and ive only learnt half the course. So im clinging on to the faint hope that the questions will only be on the Hitler-y stuff ive revised. :(
i cant remember though, and that mightve been scrapped. oh god i feel out of touch with people a year younger than me.
ANYWAY, if you did do coursework, everything should be fine. and probably otherwise anyway
I haven't done any coursework, so I have no back-up, ergh...
They're not difficult. Just turn up, use the source, pick up your A 4 months later.
If not, what part of the third reich - foreign or domestic policy?
it's just the question before and after it. Domestic policy, life in nazi germany, anti-semitism, economy, etc.
90 minutes of the wonderful Mycenaens tomorrow
some ancient history paper on wednesday
Social stratification on thursday
wasn't ironic.... ancient history is great! :)
