2nd post ^
Although when blind buttockheads start threads on different strands of the same subject eight times in a day, I can understand why one football thread is stickied.
So, in conclusion, I agree.
It's to stop people posting lots of them. Otherwise it's a silly thing, yeah.
As to the cricket one, well the guy who started it is an admin. I've never heard of him before so I assume he's a big deal and I don't want to piss him off by un-stickying his thread.
Cricket is shit
the big brother thread has 250 replies and isnt stickied. but the cricket one, currently on 17 is.
what i'm getting at is there should be no thread that is deemed "stickyable" unless by sean.
self governence is gay
I will now. I left the question open as to whether it needed to be first. No response.
The difference with 'any other topic' is those of us who don't like football can't contribute to those threads at all. The others are generally more random and about the sort of general social stuff.
if theres a wacky news item: multiple threads
if there is some slighly un-average weather: multiple threads
just applying it to football seems pointless.
but people are more inclined to piss and moan about there being more than one football thread
otherwise we'd end up with at least 5 or 6 of the blighters appearing every single day. We sometimes get multiple threads concerning other subjects/issues, but they're not constantly all over the board every day.
then why are you bothered about a thread being stickied?
is it hometime yet?
Not so Political threads/wacky news item. Stop being a clunge!
Moreover, people just fucking ignore the multiples and let it die. with the football one we don't get 8 "Today's football" thread, we get one of those followed by 7 "I'm not a manager/player but I can CLEARLY do a better job than X and I know this because I AM AMAZING" type threads and everyone gets into extra discussions.
this is already far past my care factor on this subject
"STICKY THREADS R GAY"
didn't anyone learn anything from that thread?
you ever met a gay person?
Your appeal to have the 'countdown to hometime thread' as a sticky was kicked out then?
