Morrison and Quitely's 'Batman & Robin' #1...

A_Gun_Rack [Edit] [Delete] 12:36, 5 June '09

Has anyone else read it yet? As a whole I've loved it when these two have collaborated together, All Star Superman being one of my favourite titles from the last few years.
This first issue of Batman & Robin didn't disappointed me, and the Pyg character seems incredibly sadistic (mental?), at a level on par with the Joker.
The only thing that slightly niggled me was that Quitely's artwork didn't seem quite as crisp as usual. Still awesome, but a bit more sketchy, as if he realised that he's got to get his strips done quicker. Anyway, I'm glad to see that without Bruce Wayne this is going down a route where the passing on of the "cowl" to Dick is certainly a positive move. Damian is a great character too - such a little prick, but great.
The next thing will be whether I can be aresed with the tie-ins. I really liked Tim Drake as Robin, so I'll give the Red Robin a chance. But the fact that it focuses on him searching for Bruce puts me off. I would like Bruce to be dead, and stay dead.
