with a tuba in my back pocket and a head full of cotton candy.
high? How low? (How) are you
and I pulled up a casket and climbed in
I've been listening to Songs of Pain quite a lot, thinking of listening to all his albums in order (maybe one a week or so). Might even buy his Union Chapel DVD.
i may buy it. yeah??
It is great
Just think, you live in the same city as me!
You're smiling knowing that aren't you? No?!
do it. we'll both feel better.
my head feels wierd, my stomahcs upset, my nose is blocked and general not-nice-ness
ive downed a pint of water and on my second, see if that helps
sip it dood.
the only thing getting me down is that people don't do enough wheelbarrow races these days
how do you think i'm getting into work in the morning?!
maybe its just up here
you're missing out for real, all us big city-slicker-wheelbarrow-racers. LIVING THE DREAM.
And it is harder to scamper on your hands. Maybe little kids are wheelbarrowing like mad.
they're not doing it. theyre inside on their bloody GAMEBOYS and their COMMADORE 64s
man, I loved that game.
SO SO crap. Yet at the time, it BLEW MY MIND
I never had that one, but it wouldn;t matter anyway because I wasn't allowed anywhere near ours. It was TOO EXPENSIVE and FROM THE FUTURE for clumsy little me apparantly.
I just used to sit and watch it. like it was a telly
I'd use the keyboard like it was a PC keyboard and hold the cellotape dispenser to my ear like a phone. In front of the C64 he had these tape shelves that if you wanted to retrieve a tape from you pressed this little brown button underneath each tape and it would smoothly eject from it's shelving....that bit was my switchboard.
I'm normally have the football manager game on at this point cos whatever I typed into it had proper 80s looking font, like Melanie Griffith's PC in Working Girl.
having picnics containing things like feta cheese salads. The men look like they play rugby and the women have to take off their designer sunglasses. Bah. Bring back winter.
you've made me go off wheelbarrow races
AND THAT TAKES SOME DOING
that may be my brain making stuff up/ something from an advert/ an old nightmare.
sounds like a tampax advert
'hey girls you can still take the role of the WHEELBARROW in a wheelbarrow race in WHITE LINEN TROUSERS they're THAT good!'
just someone middle class and homely telling you about food and clothes
If it was a tampax advert it might have to be sky-wheelbarrowing or wheelbarrow-gliding or something a bit more EXTREME
I've had some rough ones in my time
grazed palms....THE WORKS
but mainly just slightly grazed palms
if it had sort of a hollyoaks style vibe, a bit less feta a bit more lager. Any connection with hollyoaks would also ruin wheelbarrow races forever though.
My dad used to push us around the garden in a wheelbarrow. That was really really fun.
but there's a difference between a ride and a race. How could my dad race against himself? Have two wheelbarrow's? That's just sick. Use a stopwatch? Even worse.
No, he was just a man who wanted to push kids around until they were dizzy and giggly.
I imagined him with a friend or a next door neighbour who also had kids in a wheelbarrow. IS THAT TOO FAR FETCHED?
NO- its actually a beautiful beautiful image
I think that pluralising with an apostrophe is a sign that I'm too tired. Night now.
soon enough the fetes will be coming round.
those stalls where you get to smash plates
& win prizes. my friend won a goldfish last week.
summer will be fun.
g0000000d times for a change.
I don't want to go to sleep but I'll probably have to soon. I reckon they should shift the working day forward a few hours, past midnight is when I feel my most active + productive.
And i'm smoking a cigarette that I found in my drawer. It's probably been there for years. Does tobacco expire?
I'm also wondering if I could put cheese on a chicken voulavent.
A fine evening, to say the least.
That sounds like a great evening
Ive pulled several muscles on my left side, and can only sit relativaly painlessly in a ridiculously odd anatomical position. Im so unfit.
How did you manage that?
I pulled a muscle in my neck once during a giant yawn. The pain was really intense. Probably the worst day of my life, and I spent a day in Dundee once.
shellac for me to0o0 ...
todd trainer is insane. so so so so so good.
over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over
then maybe adam and joe
whilst painting in the garden.
Attempted dance moves whilst neighbours were out thus not spying on me.
i have to see that film tho. i must also learn those dance moves so i can be like that cool french guy who puts his hat on her head then walks off nonchalantly at the end.
Yes you must be the cool hat donating guy, no one wants to be the other non milliner monsieur.
I want to be the woman.
If you would like to learn it by tomorrow then you can come and dance with me in the garden as I paint the gate and put up some bird feeders.
It will be like a modern Goddard, combined with Springwatch.
Maybe we can combine the dancing with the Black Books style camping and gin guzzling
Two of the greats! Sounds like a plan. Well I'm off to bed for some some shuteye, nighty night
two ibruprofen, two paracetamol, maybe even two of those night time pain and sleeping pill combos if I still haven't achieved absolute numbness before bed.
Insomnia has never sounded quite so sleezy...
It hurts so much at night time!
Oh and I'm drinking coffee and listening to Dusty in Memphis sing how just a little lovin' beats a cup of coffee.
Which is almost making me cry into my coffee.
Where's my lovin' Dusty??
The coffee IS my loving, so don't rub it in, right!?
Hope you get better soon. I need a back rub, my neck is tense.
Miles doesn't sing, he just swings that sweet trumpet right into my soul in a cascade of deepest blue...
Then Ben and David from Wired are bugging me on a Spotify AD.
My lovin' is a long way away...
Do you fancy a game of online chess...?
I love chess but never really got round to learning all the rules properly, my ex taught me a couple of times but that was a long time ago.
I will most certainly learn it again though cos I too have the lovely insomnia and need something lovely like this to occupy me!
Stupid Ben and David. At least it's not the ad about how everyone loves music, especially in the bedroom.
While woeing over my lovin' being a long way away. Spotify are doing a bad job of choosing the wanking/crying audience.
I'm just listening to Jazz and I'm in a Jazzy mood, and when I listen to Jazz, with its lack of boundaries and boundless exploration, I feel a little bit chessy... Just a bit.
I will chess you right up.
and imagining that my non existent lovin' is in fact real but we're cruelly torn apart by the oceans and rivers and many many miles.
Man; Peter, Paul & Mary's version is gorgeous. Those guys make me cry, in a good way, especially Puff the Magic Dragon (though not as much as the Will Oldham version)
Anyways, I will ask the new boy to teach me this weekend if this wedding gives us chance to go back to the hotel. Though, this surely is the phrase of an old biddy? Sneaking back to the hotel....to learn chess?! Indeed!
By the way the wanking/crying audience bit made me laugh loudly :-)
Now I know you think I wanna fuck, no doubt
But tonight we'll try a different route, how about we start
With a salad, a fresh bed of lettuce with croutons
Later we can play a game of chess on the futon
Make it happen baby. Chess out
I think I love you a little bit
On their myspace, it said for a while that their only interests were 'fighting the power, getting high, and having sex with black women'
Its time for some mind sex, we aint got to take our clothes off yet
We can burn the incense, and just chat
Relax, I got the good vibrations
Before we make love lets have a good conversation
Surely a bad mix?
I'm sorry if I come across as judgmental I'm just a little concerned...
but I've had it for so many years I've discovered there's no way I can overcome it, so now I just deal with it and carry on about my business; coffee and all!
In your face insomnia!
very bored right now, not sure what to do!
