His odds will be bloody awful now though. DAMN IT.
he would be upping his game seeing as it's probably his only chance to win this tournement.
He's broken Haas and looking to take the third set. Hopefully then Haas will drop away. I'm a nervous wreck though.
I really don't like him I have to say.
I can't understand how anyone can hate him though. He does seem a bit stroppy now that he's losing more but he's that rare combination of being the most stylish player and the most successful.
sort of made me dislike him after a while.
but I do fear him
C'mon Fed! I also don't really get how you can't like Fed, the guys fucking awesome.
I think it would make a lot of people very happy if he wins the FO, me included. I just hope the pressure doesn't get to him, though it has today. Must be oddly harder now he knows Nadal is out.
if it came down to a Murray/Fed final, I'd probably want Fed to win.
He's brilliant. Such style and grace
Its looking good, c'mon Fed!
whereas Nadal and Murray have seemingly had to turn themselves into bionic men to compete at the top, Rog just strolls up and looks effortless.
serving for the match.
who assumed/imagined Roger Federer sat in the middle of the court with a 10-pack, getting hammered?
Just this weird glint in his eyes you can just catch very occasionally in a certain light, and you wonder just for a second if he might not just slam his racket down on the court and create this kind of bottomless fissure that disgorges wave upon wave of scorching hot lava that consumes the entire human race before we've even had time to plan our defence? Or is that just me?
So if he did this I wouldn't be too surprised :)
like in that episode of the Simpsons where Ned Flanders goes mental.
Boris Becker dislocated his jaw and swallowed Stefan Edberg whole over the course of about two and a half hours and everyone just sat there nervously expecting somebody else to say something but no-one did. I love tennis.
even if he's playing Murray in the final (and I'm not one of these Murray haters, I would usually want him to win).
I'd like him to win, but I think he should take pride if he even makes the semis.
of attitude but its not like we can pick or choose which of our many british tennis players in the top twenty to follow is it ? GET BEHIND HIM PEOPLE.
he used to but these days he seems very serious all the time in interviews, but hopefully that just means he's incredibly focused.
I think he's going to be the saviour of British Sport, like Obama, but with a racket, and white, and a tennis player.
there's just something about the grace of Federer which makes you love him.
It would be very ironic though if Murray won his first slam...on clay.
he just Haas to win
You're now on one as well.
Del Potro is serving for the set at 5-1.
