Barcelona win 2-0 in Milan, other than the first few minutes comprehensively outplaying Manchester United who didn't have an answer. Feguson and Ferdinand admit as much while questions are sparked again about Ronaldo's future after he says he "doesn't know" if he'll be at United next season. The most protracted transfer saga of last summer is back on guys!
Elsewhere in the Premiership, Portsmouth agree a takeover by another rich bloke and suddenly look like they might not go bust in the next 12 months while Burnley say no contact has been made by Celtic over Owen Coyle's availability. Coyle himself seems pretty adamant he's uninterested - Bilic voices his interest in the job instead and Guy Mowbray has a £1m price tag slapped on his head if Celtic plump for him.
At Sunderland, another takeover for the new season while Steve Bruce looks likely to be appointed manager and at Arsenal Wenger voices his anger at the prospect of Walcott playing for both the U-21s and Senior side this summer.
Lower down, Millwall release 10 but sign Steve Morrison from Stevenage while rumours start around Jermaine Beckford after being transfer listed earlier this week. One bid has already been turned down from a League One side as the wages being offered weren't significantly higher than those tabled by Leeds, while at the more ridiculous end Newcastle are said to be preparing a £5m swoop for his signature. Anyone else and you wouldn't believe it.
Dave Allen is given the all clear to plough money into Chesterfield, starting with £4m to start work on their new ground and Macclesfield swoop to pick up Kyle Wilson from Unibond League side FC United. Tony Roberts of Dagenham & Redbridge gets a further 1 year contract which should make it over 10 years at the club. He must be about 70 by now.
Completely unsubstantiated rumour in the tabloids suggests that AFC Wimbledon will reveal plans for a move to Plough Lane at a meeting this evening.
Fans of dissolved club Fisher Athletic meet this evening to plan their way forward now, while the FA are due to hear appeals against demotion by Kings Lynn and sundry others. Tomorrow we should all find out what leagues we're playing in next season.
