Why do Northern Irish football supporters seem so incapable of supporting their local teams? (Celtic/Rangers/dead man-centric)

I know I should probably be focussing on the man died aspect but for fuck's sake, it's a load of people fighting over a football match between two teams in a completely different country to them which - aside from a bollocks religious connection propagated by cunts who are unable to realise football and religion are utterly different things - has absolutely fuck-all to do with them. It makes as much sense as me punching a Madrid fan because I admired Barcelona's commitment to anti-Fascism.

I know it's a bit much to ask but please could everyone in Northern Ireland who supporters either Rangers or Celtic due to supposed spiritual and religious affiliations just shut the fuck up and stop being silly?
