since there is no green party candidate here. anyone who isn't the BNP tho!
the lib dem leaflet I got was a bit... wet. and uninspiring.
You fucking idiot.
UKIP are a bunch of absolute tosspots.
I guess I just went with the less-racist, less-idiotic, less-lol one of the two.
GQ told me that UKIP was a rational option too, and GQ knows.
Funny how their MEP expenses claims dwarf anything we've seen in this country, when they don't even believe we should have a European Parliament....
are you a eurosceptic?
Anyone that isn't the three main parties, UKIP or the BNP anyway. I might just scribble 'none of the above' on my ballot paper.
I may be sometime.
so you're all about unbridled capitalism and game theory socioeconomics and all that?
and I know it is, but I have paid no attention to this and rarely do to elections at all. But what the fuck are Euro elections?? How does that work?
for the European Parliament - they take place every 5 years and they have notoriously bad turnout in this country (maybe most European countries, I'm not too sure)
I had no idea it had been going on for so long. I find it strange that the elected group of people can make decisions for so many countries with, no doubt very different oppinions and interests. Although I have no idea what it is they make decisions/do.
but it is on my 18th birthday, so of all the things i can do on my birthday... i can vote.
i am no europhile - it's an overpriced talking shop - but the point is that we're fucking in it now and getting away would probably make it worse. isolated from europe? fuck that.
it does some good things sometimes. enforcing corporate law and some social policy stuff. it's also good for immigration what with free movement of labour.
still, it's pretty gay.
But that's more to do with a lack of enthusiasm for all the other parties than anything the Lib-Dems have done.
I refuse to vote for the Greens on the quite simple grounds that if the Green Party can't mobilise support and publicity in an era when everyone's focused on envrionmental issues anyway, they're clearly pretty incompetent.
