I just got this one last weekend, and I think it's brilliant.
also my grizzly bear tee...
isn't a priority when unemployed. And given that I'm sat in work, on a saturday whilst the sun is out and there's footy on the box, I don't feel like the winner at the moment.
You are the most indie person on this board though.
is advertising something and classifying you in fashion point-scoring shenanigans; surely better to use this to advertise a band? i met one of my best friends on the megabus because she was wearing a be your own pet t-shirt, so its a good way to meet/spot like-minded people too
I thought the JL ones were really boring.
was about to get an uber round in. We'd have been drinking southern comfort till the dawn.
but can't find any pictures of it.
Love it. And the guy modelling it.
or a Sleep one. Anyone care to sell me a Sleep tee? No? Hmm
this is my favourite
but I've got the colours reversed on it.
But then again about 50% of t-shirts I own are band related, I'd much rather be spending my money on band merch than some crappy branded stuff (although the other half of my wardrobe is made up of American Apparel and Abercrombie, so hey, I'm a massive hypocrite), especially when they're cool designs.
with skulls and flames and stuff on them. and a slipknot hoody.
um my favourite is probably my animal collective ballerina one. it's the only one i own that actually FITS me. all the rest are pure massive.

http://grizzly-bear.net/images/teecatwhite.jpg this one is awesome too
After seeing photos of myself wearing it I've realised it just doesn't suit me so I only wear it for running now.
I also have the Grizzly Bear shirt shown on this page but in a lighter colour http://grizzly-bear.net/store/
between this one:
and this one that i found for 50 cents in a yard sale:
(except mine is sparkly!)
Face-shirt would be an awesome idea though
i just think it's such a predictable indie thing to do, and i also don't like the idea of going around advertising some band or broadcasting how much you idolise them. in my own messed up mind it's like admitting you're a blatant 'fanboy' who isn't worthy to wipe their arses or something. i know this is just me and my inferior complex forcing me to sniff my nose at everything. i take your point about giving deserving bands all the publicity you can. but essentially, if i'm being honest, in the back of my mind i think people should be wearing t-shirts with my face on them, not vice versa.
None of that applies to the Strokes though. I fell in love with them when they first arrived in 2001, when i was about 13, which is the perfect age really to find 'your' band. They just kind of galvanised my love for rock and roll and music, the clothes i wear and way i have my hair are still influenced by them for chrissakes. So they were kind of my first love, the first band of my generation that i clung onto and thus have immunity in the t shirt stakes.
Plus i like the golden logo. Simple, soul-influenced, pretty cool. So that's the one for me.
are more gig souvenirs that I buy mainly to remember the night/feel like I'm helping support the band in some small way, and then wear in bed, with exception of this Modest Mouse beauty that is pretty much my favourite t-shirt!
tis pretty ace :)
The blokes version of this:
and this, only in white and the blokes version.:
which is why black flag logo's are king. i am wearing one RIGHT NOW, actually.
Otherwise, if i had this i think i'd feel pretty fucking rad:
