I think it's stupid. There's no way I'd pay anything back if I'd been acting within the rules, sod that.
I'm as naive as a bottle of evian
Word. I'm guessing that Lib Dem who's giving back the £40K is either:
a) Rich enough already that he doesn't need to give a monkey's, or
b) Failed to get that lucrative position on the board of Omnicorp he was angling after, and therefore needs his present job.
Why is David Cameron being hailed as some kind of saint for making his Tory chums pay back their expenses? Shouldn't we be asking why they're finding it so easy to do so?
they have to sign a paper that says that the expenses incurred are nessary to carry out their jobs. it seems to me that a large number of thei signatures are worthless at this point.
is irrelevent. it's quite transparent which one's are completely morally bankrupt and don't deserve the responsibility of their positions. people in a position of leadership should behave in an appropriate fashion regardless of whether the rules make them do so or not.
in saying that he'll kick out any Tory who doesn't repay. This time next year the papers will be full of reports of MPs who haven't got round to doing so and Smug Dave will have to act or look like a lying cunt.
