how much of your personality do you change around different people?.....are you always the same?

....and how much of your personality do you change around those you fancy.......are you always 'yourself'....or do you act differently around different people....

i think i do a fair bit.....the core stays pretty much the same but i mix around the top layer....accent being a start....posh for the toffies....dropping t's for the toughs

i'm certainly not one of those people who is just me regardless of the company.....at least not in the beginning...over time i'll just revert to type i think....but always over time....i'm used to the...'ooh...i thought you were such a miserable shit when i first met you' comment......it's pretty much a banker i'll be getting it.

that's normal anyway right?......more yourself the more comfortable you are...etc...

in terms of fancy....right now....this girl at work i like.....i'm doing my best to try and play it cool a bit.....but normally i'd play on the fact that i'm really not cool at all and seek the laughs from that...

but surely it's almost politeness to alter your style a bit in the beginning depending on the company?...it's like your personalities meet at a halfway point and then take it from there.....

i must say.....i almost admire those people that can blitz through life showing the exact same hand to everyone on first meeting....probably comes with age or summit
