Where can I watch it online?
Looking forward to this one.
As for where you can watch it online, sorry but no idea.
it's going to be unbearably tense.
will post a link here at kick-off.
I'm going to the pub though. The Sunderland messageboard normally has links so I would just find some Newcastle one. footyonline.tv has a miles better stream for £1.50 but paying for an illegal stream is ALL KINDS OF WRONG
I hope it's a boring 0-0 draw. Or Newcastle to lose to a last minute goal. Sorry doudes
Bet its a shit 0-0. Still If this game ends in a draw and West Brom somehow beat Liverpool, and Hull lose AGAIN next weekend, we could have the best final weekend for years!
Arsenal to beat Man Utd, then Hull to beat Man Utd in final game to stay up and allow Liverpool to sneak the title.
if west brom beat liverpool, they can't win the title.
ok sorry west brom, you're down chaps.
they do have lots of good, or at least talented players, it's just the two teams are prime examples of wild overspending, and complete mismanagement at every level. I hope they both go down.
my bets for this game: half time Newc full time draw, Boro winning 1-2
about Tuncay. Best player for any of the current bottom 4 IMO. He'll probably stay in the Premiership even if Boro go down, unless a foreign side buys him of course.
for someone like Hamburg or Leverkusen. I'd like to see a decent club take a chance on him over here though, one with a some backbone like Wigan or Fulham. I think Villa/Everton should buy him, but I can't see it happening so that's the next level down.
really shined in the last Euro's. Good as a second striker and a playmaker, also poaches in the box like a straggly-haired Spaniel. Scored the cheekiest bastard goal against Hull earlier in the season too, was some crazy heel flick if I correctly recall.
or at worst a draw please. Prediction 1-1: Alves 68, Martins 84.
So West Brom can sneak out to replace Hull at the death. They're both terrible in their own special way but I find it difficult to hate Gareth Southgate
I hope it's a draw, but I KNOW that one of them will win. Hopefully Boro and not by a margin more of more than 2 goals. I also hope some Geordies go mental and invade the pitch, that would be beautiful. :D
But if there is a winner, they'll be staying up and Hull will be going down.
I bet it goes completely dead after 10 minutes of the match now I've said this.
stream fucked already.
goal is scored and stream dies. beautiful timing.
so get yer cash on newcastle and scum united quick
Best of both worlds.
Best fans in the world
I'm predicting a dire 1-1 draw.
So many memories...
I keep watching keego's outburst, perfect way to get psyched up for the match
but the stream's dead, I've just got 5 Live commentary at the moment, does anyone have another link?!
we won't win.
i'd quite like to see you have control of the ball in the opposition's half at SOME POINT.
it'll take me 5 minutes to get there and I don't fancy fucking around trying to find another stream.
Is it really that good?
since he left chelsea? he always goes backwards.
i'd like to say that a draw would be nice
summed up perfectly. It's tragic.
not to jinx this, but this is definitely the best I've seen us play in some months...
...and as I type that, Viduka nearly gifts Boro a goal. Nice.
if he gets another chance
that must be the most stupid thing i've ever read.
in what, a sentence? you don't have to read the whole of the guardian thing, you can scroll down and look at the bits that say "goal".
that comb is worth millions upon millions of pounds
Boro are carving out loads of chances, mainly because the Newcastle defence is awful.
hopefully this means it has reverted to the Toon vs Boro coverage... ah yes here we are.
fucking hell, this is worse than school football
if Newcastle stay up it'll prove just how hard it has been to get relegated this season.
COME ON. Really think we might stay up if we can hold onto this, Hull are so desperately poor atm.
christian karembeu should have just scored
I feel sorry for Southgate, but at least their boring football won't be in the league next season.
At least Hull will probably go down now.
but I'd still rather them stay up instead of Newcastle, just for the funnies.
Newcastle are going to stay up with 7 wins, what a bummer. It's not over yet I guess, Hull are awful but Fergie might let them win on the last day.
about Hull and preferring Newcastle to go down marginally just for hilarity value. I just can't see Hull bagging any points from their last two games, maybe they'll pull something out of the hat against Bolton though
I could see Hull getting something, it's happened before in almost identical situations.
I don't know, people say that but I suspect the way things are going even playing in first gear and with one eye on the Barcelona game Man Utd will beat Hull. Hull would struggle to beat West Brom right now.
it's not the same thing at all. It'll be the same for West Brom against Liverpool if the title is decided by then, I could see them getting something. What are Boro's remaining fixtures?
West Ham (A)
They've won once since December! That's awful form.
didn't it happen with someone like Wigan as well.
Fucking hell for someone who hates a club you certainly have alot of opinions on it.
first 15 minutes was great stuff, after that we were as bad as each other.
draw written all over it at half time.
if boro had anyone who could even do an impression of a decent striker they could've finished us off long before martins came on.
scoring against the run of play like that completely knocked the fight out of them.
the final scoreline was absolutely flattering to us.
so many problems in our game, and scoring three against one the few teams in the league comparably as bad as we are is just going to paper over the cracks.
of course the daft black and whites will have shearer getting us into europe next season but really we made all the same mistakes we have in every game at least since kinnear went into hospital.
you're a good guy soapy. I thought Boro were pretty unlucky tonight as well, they were a good striker away from winning it like you said. I was wondering whether my dislike for Newcastle was clouding my judgement, but maybe not after all.
Newcastle will probably stay up now, it's absurd that they can do so with only 7 wins all season.
I thought we had the better of the game for 75 minutes at least. We did look messy at the back whenver they broke, and a side with more quality would have punished us, but I was pleased with the way we actually managed some incisive attacking football and decent final balls for the first time in god knows how long.
until martins scored out of nothing it, apart from the odd ineffectual boro attack, we were as bad as each other.
obviously after that their heads drop, the toon fans finally started making some noise and we cleared up.
does anyone know what happened to Alves?
i missed him going down but the rumour went through the stand that he just passed out.
of the second half we totally bossed that game and didn't even create a clear chance. we are shit and deserve to go down. also, i'd FUCKING LOVE IT if those smug cunts went down with us, fucking love it. i'm gutted. and pissed. and i've eaten too many burgers.
because we (actually, emnes himself) put in more effort tonight than we have all season. the fact that, as you rightly put it, we were the better team for the majority of the game proves how bad we are in the grand scheme of things. they were terrified in that period of the second half. also re. southgate, he was a legend as a player for us, an absoloute god. but he's slowly reversed all the good work mclaren did and taken us from uefa cup finalists (with viduka, jfh and yakubu to choose from upfront) to THAT. some of his team selections and substitutions this season have been pretty laughable and it's time for him to go i'm afraid. anyway, fuck it...BLACKPOOL AWAY next season!!
WHO SHOT AFONSO ALVES?!?
And McLaren's cup success did paper over the cracks of a pretty poor final league season.
That said he's had more money than some managers and not used it all that well. I do think that Southgate helps back up the case for why it's rarely a good idea for clubs to appointment young managers into Premier League jobs before they have the experience. People commend Gibson for his loyalty but I don't think Southgate was ready in the first place and I think there's a point where loyalty spills over into refusing to make a decision.
