I mean that's the one that does all the trickiest stuff right?
it has something to do with the stronger side of the brain being able to interpret rhythm better then the 'weaker'. Mind you, finger-pickers are doing fiddly stuff with both hands..
see also: batsmen! how come if you're right handed your top hand (which does most of the work unless your name is Sewag) is the left one! IT MAKES NO SENSE.
Maybe that's why i was shit.
you do the intricate steering stuff with your left hand and mash the buttoons with your right.
If the earliest games consoles had put the controls the other way around we'd all be steering with the right and bashing with the left (lololo)
I play guitar right handed. I bat in Cricket right handed, but I bowl left handed. I play golf right handed. Football I kick with my left foot. I write with my left hand.
how do you cope living it?
Us lefties are superior in every way.
I am now ashamed that I have let other lefties down.
I play guitar left handed. I don't play cricket, 'cause it's gay. I don't play golf, 'cause it's boring. For tennis, I play with my left hand. Football, I kick with my left, but I can kick with my right too - I just use my left to keep with the consistency. I write with my left hand.
TO THE LEFT, TO THE LEFT.
the amount of interaction, rather than the control required.
I think it's harder to get the power and coordination necessarily to get the rhythm right with your weaker hand whereas with your left hand you're essentially placing fingers.
I know a right-handed guy who plays the guitar left handed and does the fretboard with his right but this is mostly due to the fact he only has one thumb and one finger on his left hand.
your fretboard hand has a massive window of timing compared to your right (even when doing relatively complex stuff; tapping notwithstanding), which then has to sync to a rhythm too.
Despite the fact I'm right handed.
I'm left handed and do everything with my left, but I think I actually play the guitar right handed, because my right is doing the hard work. But when I do play a right handed guitar I just can't do anything. I can barely play a note, form a chord or strum. It's like a retard playing. But left handed, I'm shit hot. My friend is left handed and plays the guitar right handed, though. Bizarre.
