I've known a few like him in my time, though clearly he is somewhat exaggerated. But as characters go I'm not sure the Wire ever got someone who is (for me) so spot on in everything they do.

He upsets, angers and amuses me but mostly he makes me sad. Watching Season 2 again it's hard to even find his antics amusing when we know where the character is headed. But still, nothing he does ever surprised me because I knew him intimately from guys a knew at school, one guy very well.

What I don't understand is how people can get so mucked up like that, so unable to stop themselves fucking things up even though they realise they're fucking things up. Maybe someone knows.

I guess no one can.
