Well, probably not for most of you.
First things first- a one goal lead is never enough. We had chance after chance and didn't kill the game off so got what we deserved. Chelsea's aim for the night was to score more than Barca. Barca's aim was to score at least as many as Chelsea. One team succeeded in their aim, the other didn't. As much as it pains me to say it, on those grounds, Barca are through fair and square.
That said, that referee should never, EVER officiate at that level again. Abidal was sent off for just being near Anelka from what I can tell. Malouda was definitely fouled in the area and Pique definitely handballed. The tackle on Drogba and the Eto'o handball weren't as clear cut but I'd wager that most refs would give them. Despite it not being a dirty game the ref seemed quite keen to stop play every 30 seconds throughout the match. Terrible, terrible performance and before some twat pops up with some shit about him being under pressure, I couldn't care less. To err is human. To err so drastically and so often in 90 minutes is borderlibne criminal.
I'm not impressed with Ballack or Droba per se but completely and utterly sympathise with them. Anyone who reckons they wouldn't react that way is either lying or spineless.
Two fucking great goals mind.
Anyway, there's some playoffs or something today. Can't seem to care too much personally.
