Please god let Barcelona win, just because i want a manulona final. Really need a goal in the first 20 mins imo.
Veetle doesn't seem to work for me these days.
anyone have any other streams?
as good as his goal versus arsenal, easily.
Not in English, but it's better than nothing.
both of them were penalties and cards
are saying that it was definitely a penalty, whenit was no more a penalty than last nights which theyve claimed is the worst decision ever given.
that was just them crying for darren fletcher though innit.
i hate to say it, but we need to pass the ball to malouda. if we can get it. alves is already carded on that side, he'll go crazy now.
the second and third were absolutely clear cut penalties. Fletchers may have been by the unmoving letter of the law a penalty, but it definitely wasnt by logic.
its pretty hilarious how every comment has to be turned into some remark about supposed bias for Man Utd
the foul was deffo on the edge of the box and not inside. The other one was debatable there was a tug but then it just looked like drogba fell rather than being pushed/tripped over.
when the slightest breeze sends him tumbling?
Also, Malouda is so very very poor
though malouda is by no means shit. you don't get in the starting line up for chelsea if you're shit. you rot in the reserves on 40,000 a week like winston bogarde
Hence why I didn't say shit. I said poor. His execution is poor, and I think Chelsea need a better option out wide
like robben. never should have sold him.
they seem to have very few ideas. Pose no real aerial threat from crosses and chelseas midfield sit about 5 yards in front of the back 4 so no space to pass into. I would say its more likely chelsea get a 2nd. The only real hope they have is to just keep giving the ball to messi and hope he can score a wonder solo goal.
Not sure if Chelski can sustain the 45 minutes of Barca attack that I expect to come in the second half, but I reckon Drogba will knick a goal.
four penalties not given, one of which abidal would definitely have been sent off for
but still, :)
but it's a mystery how Chelsea didn't get at least one penalty. Feel a bit sorry for them.
running after him, pushing him in the back? what a cunt. all the chelsea players who had a go at the ref at the end of the game should be castrated too.
I don't usually agree with anything like that but he had probably the worst game i've ever seen from an official
Due to Primavera.
can't wait for that night.
I'll be with a kopite mate who hates united, it'll be worth the journey yes?
It might win as my friends all seem to hate football but I might try and lead a splinter group away to a bar full of noisy catalans.
I am in love
Drogba's gone insane and just shouted "it's a fucking disgrace" at the camera. Good god.
about that chance he squandered before he labels anyone a disgrace...
sympathise with Chelsea as that was a little cruel but you can't expect that team to not have one moment in a match...
Barcelona were fucking awful tonight
Absolutely lovely stuff. Drogba's such a pantomime cunt - just fantastic stuff to watch.
even though i wanted barca to win chelsea should have had two penalties. Referee had a shocker.
they had to cut to the ads before the bloodshed started.
this is the funniest thing I have seen for ages
I'm actually looking forward to the final now.
which isnt really the case is it? and could logically be construed as being 'on the take'.
i'm not saying he wasnt a bad referee, but chelsea werent anything like as hard done by as you made out. and if they were... oh well, makes it a lot sweeter.
Abidal shouldn't have been on the pitch at that point anyway. It was he who brought down Drogba in the first half when he was clean through.
YOU ARE OUT OF EUROPE!
someone shit I bet.
we certainly had more shots. they had one fucking shot. this is fucking awful.
agreed with the rest of what you said though.
kik is crying
Sure there are '4' penalties that could have been given, maybe half should have been given. But Barca wrongly had a man sent off.
Chelseas general conduct, Drogba, Ballack, Terry etc. and their reaction at the end of the game mean i have no sympathy for them whatsoever. Diving, cheating, shower of cunts.
any form of violence at the referee or anything on the scale of chelsea is completely 100% deplorable.
what about Drogba?
certainly would amount to an assault off the football pitch
can you not see how something like that would make most people refuse to have sympathy for them?
What kind of captain acts like that? Three international captains acting like spoiled children. Drogba and Terry are two of the more despicable footballers on the planet, and hopefully Drogba at least will get the book thrown at him
buried somewhere down the bottom of the social board if you're interested.
must say i feel gutted for chelsea and hiddink....two blatent penalties not given....true....but i think drogba should be angry at himself before the ref..other chelsea players deserve to have that rant more than him...........and not sure about all this bashing the ref and his nationality lark......i think the british refs have shown that you can ref all the top games you like and still get it arse over tit.....
not suite sure how people are saying that the better team (tonight) went through either....to me chelsea were the better team....it's just the inherent quality of barca that saw them through
i'm sure you've been known to state that chelsea under hiddink are the best team in england.
Fantastic! Someone in the editing room's getting a kicking tonight...
"Why are we getting referees from little countries like Norway and Sweden?"
Presumably the Italian who sent Fletcher off was fine.
Iniesta was immense the whole game (as he has been for the last two seasons) and his goal was a belter - he shouldn't be stuck out wide though.
Chelsea, as a club, are an odious shower of twats.
They're right to feel hard done by, but I'm really enjoying the Schadenfreude for the moment. Drogba - massive lulz. He is the biggest cheat I have ever had the displeasure of watching (maybe excluding Arjen Robben) and deserves everything he gets. Also loved watching Ballack gamely restraining himself from battering the referee.
And now Graeme "Men Against Boys" Souness is all wound up.
All in all, a lovely night.
drogba is nothing compared to alves, messi and xavi.
was a joke...
mentioning that Henry decision which was as much a penalty as some of them tonight...
just watch the way Ballack reacted to the decision and then Drogba at the final whistle and tell me you've seen much worse from either of those three players?
You're right to feel hard done by but you can't even attempt to claim anything in Drogba's defence
but that still doesn't mean it's behaviour that I'd condone. Guus Hiddink was absolutely brilliant in his post match interview. You could feel the anguish but it was in a completely dignified manner. Not so sure about the ref going out of his way to actually prevent Chelsea going through, I just think he has had a shocking game and never recovered from the first bad call. Having said that, Uefa will be delighted that it's not an all-English final
who made throat slitting gestures and shaped to punch the referee?
I mean wtf? I just don't like Chelsea, ergo I must be a great gaping cunt. Is that how it works nowadays?
anyway its hardly the point. why should i have sympathy for cheating arseholes who now feel hard done by?
ferdinand didn't kick the steward intentionally and evra was one of several people involved in that fracas.
chelsea are the whiniest cunts in the game.
Chelsea as a club - fans, players and all - make every fibre of my being boak.
Drogba has come to epitomise that.
On the Ronaldo point, I'm actually quite warming to him since he grasped the nettle and turned himself into a cartoon parody of the prat everyone knows he is.
not quite as bad as west ham though.
should never be allowed a game of this importance ever again. Utterly incompetent.
Chelsea were the better team over the two legs and should feel aggrieved that they were not there.
after the whistle. everything that is wrong with modern football was on display there. (maybe without diving but yeah)
in the circumstances and compared to others around him........
I quite like Chelsea and their siege mentality.
and Ronaldo is everything that is wrong with modern football.
but doesnt mean i dont like to see horrible chelsea wankers get a taste of what it feels like to be cheated
and i'd probably take a similar amount of pleasure in this happening to them. but i think its undeniable they are all a bunch of pricks.
don't support Chelsea or anything but I like Drogba and despise Ronaldo.
Ballack is a twat defo
the general air of "oh the humanity!" coming off the 5 Live coverage afterwards was something to behold, especially when Mark Lawrenson accused the whole of UEFA of being liars for something they haven't said yet.
UEFA hate English clubs! They'll do anything to stop them! Like fix tonight's game! Expect at least one tabloid article along these lines in the next few days.
why wasn't Ballack sent off for that attack on the ref?
the ref knew he had had a terrible game and sending of ballack would have been the right decision maybe but would have ended his career.
I thought chelsea were the better team on the night, but of the penalties, the one on Drogba in the first half seemed clear cut ( a bit like the one on Henry last week?). The other's were all 'a bit soft if given, but i've seen them given'.
Still, 25 minutes to go against 10 men. It was hardly impressive stuff from chelsea was it? Yeah, lets just keep it tight lads. Barca were clearly incompetent at defending almost anything for the whole game, they were there for the taking.
even as a man utd fan sick of Chelsea fans clinging to a myth that every ref/commentator/player for other teams supports both Man Utd and Liverpool I feel immensely sorry for the blues
If both God and I hate Chelsea, then we are...the same person?
Yet how can this be?
Anyway, terrible ref and blah blah, I'm sure the Chelsea fans will blame this and nothing else, and it's a wonderful sight to see Drogba exposed for the horrible person he is.
Actually, I'd say all footballers are simply terrible people.
But Chelsea lost so fuck them and fuck their Cockney supporters, those knees up jibber jabber cunts. Die now, Chelsea. Your reign of terror is over.
Fuck you Chelsea
Fuck your stupid fans
Fuck your fucking attitude
And your overly defensive game plan
Fuck you Chelsea
Fuck your squad of runts
Fuck your fucking stupid fans
They're all a set of cunts
DRRRRROOOOGGGGGGBBBAAAAAA (In mocking tone)
when I was 10.
You insult my bredren....
That was great
I just love that a significant proportion of people were so close to joy and had it snatched from them. Mass disappointment is brilliant.
"sergio ramos, remember how terrible he is! managing the worst real madrid team in the history of real madrid, we can all tell how terrible la liga is at the moment... i want united to stuff them, show that this barcelona team aren't that good"
how he is considered any authority on football is insane. I'd rather listen to David Pleat and Mark Lawrenson have a 10 hour chat about the merits of 4-5-1.
"I think Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U and Chelsea would all beat Barcelona" Except Chelsea didn't beat them did they Tim...
Losing on penalties or to goals that never even crossed the line is bad enough, but this was ridiculous. That referee should never be allowed to officiate a European tie again, let alone one this important. Even the biggest of the Chelsea haters must at least feel sympathy with our fans and players after this. I knew we needed another goal and yeah we missed some chances, but this doesn't mean that justice was done. Football needs technology for penalty incidents and red cards etc. this has confirmed it to me. When the name of whatever club goes on that trophy, history won't remember this... not the future generations anyway. I can't even be angry at Drogba, Ballack etc. as much as they are utter twats sometimes you have to feel for them, all this work and for what? To get your opportunity of winning a European trophy (a career defining moment) taken away from you by a referee who clearly doesn't know what he's doing. Abidal may have been wrongly sent off, but he shouldn't even have been on the pitch in the first place.
This has made me so angry that I feel like giving up on football altogether, I want to watch a support that at least has some sense of justice. I couldn't do it to Chelsea, I'll carry on following them, but I really can't put into words how awful I feel right now.
I hope Barca win the final despite the injustice, although it's going to be very difficult to watch it now. This is mainly because my friend is a Barca fan, otherwise I'd probably want Utd to dick on them.
If only everyone that has ever questioned my love for Chelsea on here knew how I felt right now, you'd soon realise how wrong you are.
not one mention about Man Utd cheating, i don't think i've seen a Chelsea fan talk about football that long without at least alluding to it.
yeah, i have all the sympathy in the world for Chelsea. but looking back Chelsea had chances, they should have capitalised (Drogba in the 2nd minute particularly)
because at least they deserve to be there. My friend being a Barca fan prevents this however.
Yeah, I'm annoyed that we didn't score a second, their defence was wide open for most of that second half. We really should've grabbed a second, but I'd still have much prefered to be beaten fairly. I knew they'd get one chance and well done to Iniesta for taking it. This is one of the few occasions when I can forgive some of our players for acting like cocks, it must be very hard when you've been cheated out of a CL semi final. Drogba saying the game was rigged was quite amusing though, I must admit.
when Drogba was through on goal?
(except we got a lucrative replay at our place, and Barcelona just get a dull Champions League final)
Jesus Christ. Absolutely one of the worst games i've ever seen, but one of my all-time favourite footballing moments.
Superb Essien goal, but it was the worst possible thing for the spectacle - just like the early goals yesterday.
That honestly felt like good conquering evil. Couldn't be happier.
Drogba somehow presented himself worse than ever, Ballack was disguisting to the ref, JT and others similar post-match. Usually love Essien but the challenge he got booked for was disguisting. Alex did one of the most cynical stops i've ever seen and would've deserved to miss the final. Anelka and his dive: Jesus Christ, horrific football.
Barca totally bottled it in this leg, but chelsea deserve it SO much due to the most cynical 180 minutes of "football" i've experienced in europe. horrifying.
Drogba to the camera & his swearing - up there with Zidane's headbutt in footballing images for me.
What a ref.
srsly: good beating evil. so much. so much
I'd say evil won.
i actually quite like chelsea. Usually will cheer them on against whoever in the league & not only cos theyre usually challenging utd. They play good football - and bar a few of the absolute most horrible footballers i've ever seen - most of them are usually pretty likeable. don't usually have a problem with ballack, fat franky, terry, pretty much most of them. infact, i'd go as far as to say theyve been my favourite side to actually watch this season, bar the blips.
but, i think, especially in this leg, they really could've have presented themselves worse. really really disguisting, and i've no idea how any neutral fan could disagree barca were the more likeable side. and like i mentioned, the style of football was just a horror, really really depressing and as much as i hate the term; "anti-football" in it's most blatant form. Which is a total shame because they can actually play the game, and if they did it would've made for an incredible couple of matches.
only person not to like from barca was Alves, who i'll condemn as much as possible. Horrible person/player, and really frustrating to watch. Saying that, I don't think he really did anything wrong (morally, he did plenty wrong football-wise), following his booking.
disagree with any of that, mr fullerov?
I don't like attacking free-flowing football. 4-4 games are the exception and quite rightly so.
and Barcelona are possibly the most arrogant team in the world.
so yeah...all of it.
actually one of the stupidest posts I've ever read.
"AHHHHAAHHHAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!" and pulling the face and pose of a giant vulture
the one where we threw himself back as if he'd been shot.
his shout into the camera was just hilarious though.
so much. thats probably the highlight of my football watching life.
it made me so happy.
good luck with that big European tie you've got... oh wait you're in League 1.
this season, we'll get promoted.
this season, chelsea will have nothing.
relative but we've had more success.
you'll (maybe) get promoted to the second tier of English football. That's relative success for you, but you're still a shit club wasting away below the level you should be at.
which is about as intelligent as cavemen arguing "how BiG yrrrr club is", then chelsea are well above the level they "should" be at & recent success is owed almost 100% to a certain oligarch. morality?
and you're arguments (along with some other posters) have been equally as stupid. I've been forced into a corner, the "my club are better than yours" argument is really all I've been left with. You should have a little more respect for the Chelsea fans (not just me) who might be reading this thread.
I actually wish that I could cry, it would do me some good instead of this shitty numbness and bitterness that I feel.
and you have to remember all the crap we've had to put up with from the last few seasons as well. Penalites last year, penalties in that semi against Liverpool, the Luis Garcia non goal. Pretty unlucky when you think about it. We deserve to win a CL title, we really do.
DRRRRROOOOGGGGGGBBBAAAAAA (In mocking tone)
caller: "Did you mess up your cooking on the telly at the weekend?" - AMAZING!!!
Lovejoy - "I'm a well-known Chelsea supporter."
Caller - "Not to me you're not."
Drogba gets a blatant penalty knocked back by the ref in the FA cup final against us. That is all. Actually, it isn't. I have some sympathy for Chelsea fans because when things like this happen to your own club (yes YOU Clattenburg, you horrible, arrogant, smug, bankrupt cunt) it makes you feel ill for days, months, years even, but I can't help but feel that tonight was all of Drogba's face-holding, writhing, cheating shit over the last few years coming back and biting him on the arse. That doesn't make it right that the ref was shite, but all of the 'I feel like never watching football again' brigade need to get a grip, really- they should have had a couple of penalties. That's it. Yes, it's gutting, as i've said it's happened to my side in big games and it makes you rage, but football without nights like this would be a shadow of the game we love. The ref was out of his depth and looked nervous, but shit happens.* GO SOCCER!
* I reserve the right to withdraw all of the above if Chelsea get a dodgy decision in the FA Cup final.
Feel moderately bad for Chelsea, but not too bad. Wanted Chelsea to win for a while, just to show Barca up, thought they weren't great for both games, going forward they weren't great, nor at the back. Then, as a United fan I wanted Barca to score, firstly for the lulz and secondly because I'd much rather play Barca in the final than Chelsea for various reasons. Barca weren't great, nor were Chelsea. Then again Chelsea should have had DEFINITELY 2 pens, possibly more.
I'm pretty gutted Dani Alves isn't playing in the final, really. He had a SHOCKER. Almost as bad as Drogba. Still, the behaviour of Ballack at the end was disgraceful, nothing short of.
Again, what sort of people leave A PUB when their side is losing, but need one goal to win the tie. Fucking hell what wankers, that made me fucking angry. Felt like chanting "you're gonna score in a minute, score in a minute, and you're gonna miiiiiiisss it, you're gonna missss it".
I think he did touch him, though it wasn't shoving him...
Ballack just seems to resume a normal jog right at the end
the iridescent greenish glow I can see from my window to the southwest is almost certainly Stamford Bridge. I laugh in its general direction.
the all round positioning of the referee was awful, the amount of times he stopped Barcelona from pushing forward by blocking a pass in the first half.
Abidal, Never a sending off in a MILLION years. And the Whole booked and missed the final rule? Worst rule in football. Denying someone possibly the greatest moment of their life because they clip someone's heels accidentally? Utter cretins at UEFA are the worst kind of pen pushers for this. It makes NO sense, if his foul isn't bad enough for a red, and he can play the rest of the match why the hell should he miss the next game? Two fouls in 180 minutes and you cant take part in the greatest game of yr life? Ridiculous.
UEFA did not want 2 English teams in the final for no other reason than TV revenue and Advertising revenue. Ill find the stats later, but they loose a fortune whenver there is a 2 team from one country final.
Referee is either utterly incopetent or a cheat. Make of it what you will. He is either one or the other.
If i was a barcelona player, and i won the champions league i would be GUTTED. When they look back on it, they will always be questioning in the back of their mind why they are in the final. They will always know the ref for whatever reason turned down 3 certain penalties, he will have tarnished their win forever. At that level, its not about pieces of metal and medals, its about the pride of being the best, and beating the best, and he has tarnished that for them.
Chelsea, i cant defend their players actions but the anger must be throbbing through their veins.
i'm pretty sure that i'd be too busy thinking "YEAH FUCK YEAH I WON THE FUCKING CHAMPIONS LEAGUE" to worry about gutted lahndahners
that not one Barcelona player, fan or employee will give two-tenths of a fuck about Chelsea right now, or after the final.
now everytime they mention to someone they won the cup in 2009 (if they do) then someones going to go, yeah but god what about that referee? you shouldnt have even been in the final. its something theyll never get away from. When really, it should be yeah you were the best side in the world.
Sure itll feel amazing to be in the final, and theyll be exstatic and fantastic if they win it, but look how the goal that didnt cross the line of 1966 constantly follows around what was a fantastic performance.
But the 1966 squad would prefer for the ball/dodglinesman issue to have never occured and win the game fairly with no advantages i would imagine.
Sure theyll take the win, and celebrate it, and feel but im sure they would have won purely based on the fact they are (and were over 180 mins) probably the better side not because of an atrocious ref essentially keeping them in the game by turneding down 3 clear penalties. if that makes sense?
who now pontificates the rights and wrongs of the game for a living, was involved in a similar situation as a player when Everton beat Bayern Munich in a European semi-final and Bayern's coach complained about Everton's over-physical approach as they left the pitch. The conversation ran thus;-
"That was not football! That was not football!"
"We're in the final, you're not. Fuck off."
I reckon 99.99% of people in the game have this attitude. Do you honestly think the '66 side care if the ball was in or not? Do you think a German moaning about it to them or any England fan would be met with anything other than derision and laughter? They wouldn't give a shit. I couldn't care if my side got a winner in an important game that didn't cross the line or was blatantly punched in, in fact in certain situations I'd prefer it to a 30 yard screamer.
But in all seriousness im assuming that Everton stayed within the acceptable realms of behavior in that game, whereas frankly why chelsea don't have at least one goal and one penalty in that game is mindboggling due to to 99.9% of people at least Barca didn't. Rough football is acceptable, the penalty incidents in any other game wouldn't have been. Its all fine lines and hypothesising, and you ucould argue that the ref is the one who decides,
what im trying to say is i once made the semi finals of the UKs age group 200m, yes i was happy/pleased by the achievement, and still however i know of two people who were quicker than me who were injured. Yes it was great to be successful in the races, but i always have the knowledge that how it finished wasn't a true reflection. Having spent time training with Olympic athletes, i was always struck with how they always wanted the best athletes to be at the top of their game when they competed so that if they were the best, they knew they were the best. No Ifs No Buts. Chelsea were denied that tonight. Barca were denied the chance to beat a competitor. Football lost. Barca will be happy no doubt, but if i was a barca player, id have wanted to beat chelsea fair and square in an ideal world.
incompetency of the ref. The pens, and sending off. (dont know where that bit went from the above post)
for the referee's mistakes to be a complete irrelevance..
and I'm not saying I'm pleased with what happened tonight, I have genuine sympathy for Chelsea fans, but I think the reaction of some has been over-the-top to day the least. Your own attitude re your 200m success is admirable, but surely that is an individual attitude, in an individual sport, where success and failure is measured in a precise, definitive way, ie you 'knew' they would have beat you; the same doesn't apply to football, whether the game is dominated by refereeing (non) decisions or not. Every club at some point in a season can point to decisions that have cost them, and I think the attitude you forsee the Barca players having would only possibly be true in freak circumstances, if, I dunno, they'd returned the ball to Cech in the last minute and he'd slipped and it went in, or the Chelsea 1st team were all ill with a virus and they had to play the kids. Poor refereeing just isn't on that sort of scale. I should clarify all of this by ackowledging that I really need to go to bed and all of this could be bollocks.
because over 180 mintues they deserved to be because they scored away from home and Chelsea didn't.
The idea that the match was fixed is ridiculous, if it was Barca would have had a penalty in the first half, Abidal wouldn't have been sent off and Essien would have.
"UEFA did not want 2 English teams in the final for no other reason than TV revenue and Advertising revenue. Ill find the stats later, but they loose a fortune whenver there is a 2 team from one country final."
And so the referee sent off a Barcelona player because...
I saying theres no way uefa would have wanted 2 english clubs in the final due to revenue and advertising loss, im just saying chelsea players are correct when they contend that.
Thats not to say uefa fixed it. Uefa CAN not want 2 english teams in the final and the ref be incompetent in two non connected ways. I think the ref was just incompetent. Thats why i seperated the two issues in the original post.
that it was 'men against boys' and that chelsea 'got found out tonight'
then do a lol
We had a lot less possesion, but squandered some chances and got cheated out of it by the awful referee (even the non Chelsea people are saying it).
the ref didn't squander those chances did he? It sounds like Chelsea had more than enough opportunities to put the game to bed and failed to take them. Therefore they have only themselves to blame.
you can't help the odd wrong decision, but he was useless tonight, really awful. How such an incompetent official is refereeing a CL semi final I'll never know. This might be just about the final straw for me, I won't be able to watch football for quite a while. I'm doing my best not to sound like a bitter sore loser, but it's incredibly difficult under the circumstances, especially when you consider how we've lost in the past (last year in particular).
this is more of a valid reason for them going out than a referee...credit to Chelsea for being on the offensive enough times to create the opportunities...
Barcelona played the perfect game tonight. Make Chelsea think they have won it and then hit them when they can't reply.
The piqué handball was unbelievable. However drogba should definately have scored. I rushed off to watch M83 at the fleece so missed the antics after game. We clearly deserved to win the game. Look at the chances, barca were terrible tonight. Thank you KiK for talking some sense, I will never understand why fucktherave can argue so blindly and abusively. Talk some fucking sense. We all hate football teams but you are acting like a cunt.
...if anything Barca were the boys. Never looked like scoring until the goal.
I wish I had now just for the end.
Feel sorry for Hiddink, Cech and Essien. The rest of the Chelsea side can suck my balls.
on Football Manager now
Two cracking goals, a few bad refereeing decision.
And Ballack being a dick and Drogba being right on and really entertaining.
And this thread. I love watching Frank and KiK throw their toys out of the pram.
apart from my comments to Nestor and fucktherave about their shit teams, but lets be fair they ARE cunts after all.
sky's coverage tonight was superb.
Nobody does it better.
I very rarely agree with him but he seems passionate and honest.
But it's more the pre and post match stuff where Sky excels.
And I think he's usually quite insightful - not tonight though; he was all emotional.
I'm assuming you guys don't watch much (if any) SPL coverage and therefore aren't exposed to the mind-numbing banality of Scott Booth.
If you had to endure that pish you'd think Andy Gray was not too bad at all.
Actually, not worse. But yeah, equally unbearable. I pretty much turn myself off to commentary these days.
to the ref after he didn't see things their way
like even compared to what they're noted for doing
of Chelsea's reaction to the Garcia 'ghost goal'. yep, let's blame the officials and ignore our own deficiencies.
Fact is, Drogba should have scored an away goal in the first leg. He should have wrapped it up in this leg. That said, he was dangerous, so why against 10 men substitute him for Belletti thus inviting Barca onto them and allow Anelka to run hopelessly offside for the evenings remainder...
would Lampard have even scored the penalty? Nobody knows. Plus this apparently unfair referee still managed to reduce Barca to 10-men somewhat harshly. Nothing about Barca's goal was controversial.
he fouled Drogba when he was through on goal in the first half.
was jumping around the room in joy when Iniesta scored
that is my position on the matter
though not as much money
I'm actually going to find it difficult to want them to win the final even though I despise Man Utd.
but I couldn't be bothered to turn the sound on to hear it. He's wrong about the fact we should've been awarded 4 penalties though, only 2 of them were clear cut and 1... was it/wasn't it in the box type jobby.
but if it's true chelsea got cheated out of a final spot
then i'm really, really happy.
barca to walk all over man u in the final next please
