Manchester, the proving ground for anti terrorism.
that's how much I hate ID cards
I think they'll get in power, they'll look it over and decide that actually the project has 'gone too far to stop' and will just continue with it.
the tories are looking for dickheads like you.
I love ID cards. I might move to Manchester just to get one.
All my deets on one handy card? CHECK
Fits in my pocket, same size as all me other cards? CHECK
Angers OMG BIG BROTHER IS TAKING OVER people? CHECK
Government can track me down if I ever get lost in Carlisle? CHECK
I was wondering out loud this morning what kind of fucking belter would actually volunteer to stump up for an ID card. Now I know.
It's a safe bet, right?
i have no real issue with them being made available, and they'd certainly be useful.
i just dislike the idea of being (a) made to have one and (b) made to pay to have one.
i guess i'm just tired of being lied to. how will they help prevent terrorism? has there ever been a form of ID that hasn't been forged?
into getting one I really wouldn't care if they became compulsory.
everyone's alright. right?
with those clear lines of continuity linking it to the current French administration.
HAHAHAHAHAHA. STICK THAT ON MY ID CARD, GORDON CLOWN.
that's not that close
Stop being deliberately obtuse.
As it stands, any mention of Vichy France is an irrelevance.
I assumed that was implicit from my statement.
Like they do over here.
or provisional licence, just so I can prove my age to buy alcohol and go to over 18 gigs.
they can fuck off if they think they're making me pay for something i don't even want.
how are they going to enforce payment?
I can't see how they will enforce empayment if you had no need for a passport or id card though.
so technically i can get away with it.
what would not having an ID card prevent me from doing otherwise?
Removal of passports/driving licenses may be denied. The current penalties for not registering are not in the current bill. Fines of up to £1000 are currently including for failure to notify of change of address...
Passports are about £150 now, aren't they? Maybe that was a rumour...
That's at least one bitter shandy in a London boozer. :D
