some questions about sleep

colon_closed_bracket [Edit] [Delete] 13:07, 5 May '09

if you were to sleep for one hour in every three (i.e. 8 hours in every 24) would you feel better, worse or the same as you would if you slept for 8 hours continuously?

is there a more "efficient" sleep pattern than, say, 8 hours continuous? For instance, if you were to sleep 3 hours in the afternoon and 4 hours at night, could you end up better rested than having the standard 8 hours?

for the sake of these questions, assume that you go to sleep as soon as you try to, and that all other variables remain the same.
