The way Gordon Brown's policies regarding the Gurkhan veterans and the second-home expenses things never got passed because the house of commons rejected them...the way it's reported as being 'embarrassing' for Gordon Brown. It's not embarrassing. There was a vote and he lost. It's sensible.
I think it's people like Nick Robinson that conjure up these things. His vision must be obscured by the steam and spunk that forms on his glasses after things like this happen "OMG, must tell the BBC that this is embarrassing for Gordon Brown, that's how it goes! This is one of those times when it's embarrassing!"
