thank you for your patience and again, we're really sorry, obviously we don't want the site to be broke either, and a lot of these problems are coming from trying to fix things.

sadly the site is built on foundations from 2000, when the web was very very different. there's no way we can revert back to the previous versions of the site as there's a huge inefficient database for the number of users we have which kept crashing it (and it was at breaking point, costing us loads extra in server costs).

we're still finishing off turning the old site/database, into this new one and the developments began on sky.com's watch, with the budget for 3-4 techs to finish the job, which we're now not in a position to hire. so poor old tom is trying to stick his finger in all the holes of the leaky dam all at the same time, whilst i and you all get increasingly frustrated but he's doing everything he can and more (even at this late hour).
