too salty i've decided.
i'll let chorizo off the hook cos its lovely...and maybe salami...but on the whole: TOO SALTY
in a white bread sandwich with left-over stuffing and a little mayonnaise?
maybe i've worded it wrong. cooked meats as in meats which are cooked before sale.
i also had some corned beef, as they have 3 sliced meats for £5 on deal,(Which is ruddy good) and so i had that, it was good you see.
Also, is steak tartare your favourite then?
but i do like it rare. i think meat looks nicer before its cooked (except chicken)
Rare is good.
STOP AND THINK
They're dried I think.
you know what i mean
And yes I did know what you mean.
You probably find them too salty because they're cured in salt.
I've cured your fucking pigs!
is it cured? then i stand by original post:
i dont like pre-cooked meats
my theory is flawed
that's cured too
we're back on track
Salami: not pre cooked
Chorizo: not pre cooked
Fugazi: not pre cooked
The pixies: not pre cooked
crescent of crisps. fine. but i'd sooner them out of a packet
STOP TALKING ABOUT MEAT
TALK ABOUT NON LEAGUE FOOTBALL
i had corned beef for lunch
Or something. DOFF.
Meths is losing, FYI
i think what i mean by this thread is.
I DONT LIKE CURED PORK
bacon or ham?
YOU'RE NOT MAKING ANY SENSE
i dont like them
BUT YOU BUY IT RAW.
well, they have cooked streaky bacon in that.
i dont even know what i dont like anymore
i went for chicken and stuffing (6 slices)
Peppered Ham (5 Slices)
Coned Beef (4 Slices)
Boil it then bake it? Granted, they tend to be salted first.
You can also get cured/air-dryed hams too.
i've emailed the old girl. she sells this shit for a living.
expect a difinitive answer on:
what is cured
what is cooked
how to spell salcicon
what i do/dont like
they cost about £100
(in a way that allows people to pick holes in your argument, grammar or general personality)? Thx
not a great list.
salad for strong minded gent
it might have an H in it.
it might not tho. SOL-CHI-CHON is how its pronounced
I think you've made it up. This thread is a disaster.
"Cured means it has NOT been cooked. Cured normally means air cured.
Cooked it what it says – cooked – grilled, poached etc.....
The lomo you put in your soup was cured not cooked
turns out this thread should be entitled:
I DO NOT LIKE LOMO (whatever that is)
what about a cured meat that is then cooked?
its her job. she must be right
what's it then?
they're mutually exclusive processes. Cured doesn't mean it IS cooked, but it certainly doesn't mean it's specifically NOT cooked. You can cook cured meat, like bacon. Unless she's saying bacon becomes uncured if you cook it.
I speak as somebody who has cured meat on more than one occasion. MY WORD IS LAW.
i am utterly, utterly confused.
"Salchichon is a cured sausage made of pork belly and fat and sometimes leg meat, salt and pepper. It is stuffed ina acsing and cured for about 3–4 months.
Chorizo is the same concept but also has garlic and smoked paprika in it (mild or hot paprika determines mild or hot chorizo)"
dont look at me
Do you like smoked salmon?
Cured of wrong.
"Well you can buy cooked ham as opposed to cured and it will have been boiled, roasted etc... ie: honey roast ham"
for example www.duchyoriginals.com/organic_ham_heather_honey.php
Lady Meths is fired.
they had redundancies and she kept her job.
SHE KNOWS ABOUT MEAT
"Hmm ok. What don’t I like then?
