Gosling is unbelievable, so is Shareeka Epps, so is Anthony Mackie.
Great soundtrack as well.
but it was a wee bit dis appointing, it just doesn't really go anywhere. it's a mood piece really. a bit like lost in translation
i like those type of films though. Not much in the way of plot, just brilliantly well acted and atmospheric. It's all in the glances between the actors, really.
The motel scene is incredible, the look on Gosling's face.
probably my favourite tune of all time, and it suits the scene so well
even if not much happened during the duration, half nelson just seemed like half a story.
- moments of greatness, but overall - undercooked bullshit - feel the same about wendy and lucy + gummo.
I can't remember that much which implies it wasn't brilliant
but didn't LOVE it, agree on the 'mood piece' comments, also couldn't get over how unrealistically well-behaved most of the kids in his class were...
