last night i dreamt there was a spiders nest on my duvet and the spiders had all started to hatch out of it and were crawling about everywhere. i woke up shitting myself and jumped out of bed, whipped the duvet off my bed and inspected my room. to my surprise there was no trace of a spider anywhere. i was absolutely convinced i was laying in a bed of spiders. i was shitting brick! rationality took over 5 minutes later and i crawled back into bed. it was horrible.

is this normal?

i had a similar episode 18 months ago during my final year of uni. i woke up in the middle of the night convinced there was a snake in my bed. i put on my slippers to the cunt couldn't bite my toes (wtf) and pull the duvet out of its cover, same with the pillows, and then pulled the sheet off the bed. All in the middle of the night. my heart was bloody pumping and i was shitting my self. there was no snake.

does this sort of thing happen to anyone else?

am i going insane? am i already insane?
