i'm already on antibiotics
a) how long you've been taking them?
b) have the symptoms been getting worse since you've been taking them?
c) Do you have a history of kidney infections?
If you have a history of kidney infections, you've been taking them for longer than 48 hours and things are getting worse/not getting better definitely go.
but things instantly got worse
the gp knew they didn't work last time and i had to change to others but she still gave me them :(
i'm in a lot of pain but cant get hold of anyone and glasgow a&e has to be pretty scary at this time of night erg
but certainly when I've been to A & E with kidney infections and related stuff the staff have always seemed to agree I've done the right thing (though I do have a history of kidney problems so that might be a contributory factor).
It's better to go than to leave things too late I once left it too late to get treated for something similar (not through any fault of my own - through a hospital's fault ironically) and really regretted it afterwards.
if it becomes unbearable for at least 4-6 hours and isnt getting any better ring the ambulance
