the job i'm applying for asks for a cv, cover letter and 'salary details'

i assume it wants current salary and also salary expectations..it's given a figure so i'm going in a bit lower with my expectations..should i mention that i'm currently unemployed and so don't have a current salary? or put my last one, which was just a temping hourly rate?
