Visiting dying people

PocketMouse [Edit] [Delete] 10:53, 22 April '09

I have to do this in an hour. I've never done it before. Well, not in memory anyhow. Which is pretty good going for a 20 year old. I find it difficult interacting with old people, and I find it difficult interacting with ill people, so a combo is going to be kinda tricky.

What are you supposed to do? Like, are you supposed to avoid talking about it, and just be kinda "chatty" (urgh), or does that just make you seem like a moron. Just, I'm sure they're pretty well aware that they're dying and I don't suspect they need to be told it again. And what do you say when you leave? Like, when you leave from visiting someone, you'd say "bye" right. I'm not sure.... how are you supposed to make that seem kinda, uh, final? I really am the worst person ever for this kind of stuff. It'll be like, "Uh... really sorry... love you... um... uh..." Anyone feel like scripting it for me? Hopefully I'll just cry and then I can get away with not actually saying anything.

Having a fun Wednesday then? Dying people: discuss. Or something. Yeah. Oh God.
