Commuting - do-able or deadly?

trans-siberian [Edit] [Delete] 12:01, 17 April '09

Hi! I recently lost my job (through no fault of my own, I must stress) and have been looking for other work for the last three weeks.

I have had an interview for a job that is through in the fine city of Glasgow (regular trans-siberian watchers will be aware I reside in the equally fine city of Edinburgh). Relocating is not an option for me for various reasons, but I am not particularly keen on the idea of the rush hour commute. The train ride takes about 50 mins.

Does anyone else do this or something like this? Is it as horribly soul-crushing as it seems it might be or did you adjust relatively quickly?

This job in Glasgow might be the only suitable thing that comes up for a while, so I'm looking for reassurance!

Thanks pals! xx
