well I am. Wisdom Teeth. Is it normal to have to have them taken out? How the fuck do I stop this face ache also?
knacks so much
then polish off the bottle and growl
any of that stuff you'd usually take for a mouth ulcer or something. It'll numb your gums up and give you a bit of relief. I've two fully up and my mouth was killing my a few weeks ago as the others starting pushing up. Died down now though. You probably/hopefully won't have to get them out.
but most people I've spoken to are like "yeah have them taken out, else you'll have grief for years." YEARS?! WHAT
All i can think about is that scene in 'This is England' whenWoody 1st meets Shaun when he's all down in the dumps and says in a mega northern way 'What's wi' t'face-ache?'
I'm sorry to report I have no further useful contributions to the thread at this time.
try again for the reference ;)
otherwise it's the big lebowski, amirite?
they killed until i did. ibuprofen and clove oil - which actually works better than the ibuprofen!
I had so much pain with mine a few months back. I took a week off uni, I couldn't concentrate on anything, couldn't sleep, and certainly couldn't eat. I took EIGHTY Nurofen. (Not all at the same time, obv.) I would recommend going to see your dentist, who'll give 'em a good scrub and get out any food that's in there. There's also a good mouthwash that helps... but the name has escaped me. If I remember I'll get back to you.
Oh another thing I found that helped was School Bars, do you know them? Just sort of gnawing on one helps.. it's a bit gross, but if you're just in your own house it's fiiine. My flatmates didn't seem to mine me drooling too much. I suppose it shut me up for a while, anyway.
I was thinking of getting some sticks of liquorice root to gnaw on.
They're usually with the Fruit Flakes in the supermarket, just sort of dried fruit mashed into bars, I think. I guess liqourice root would do the same thing, anything sort of gnawable and stick like =)
can you? =p eat whatever you like, if it helps! Give it a go. Mmmm nougatty goodness.
That's the mouthwash.
wasn't a happy bunny at all.
And a full set of wisdom teeth with no pain.
Anymore. There was some growing pains but not too bad.
Give over. I'm chewing on a blusher brush at the moment as its the only thing that's easing up the pain :(
2 of them hadn't really descended yet, and the other was just getting ready to erupt through the gum tissue. The one growing in was causing pain, which I found out through having x-rays done that it was due to it growing in at an angle towards my 12-year molars. I made the ultimate decision to have them all removed at once because I think it was cheaper for my insurance to have it done at once and I didn't want to get anesthetized multiple times/deal with post-op and stuff. I also didn't want it to interfere w/my previous ortho work. In the end I got vicodine + 600mg ibuprofen and was okay after a few days.
Orajel numbing agent helped before getting them removed though.
but nothing to cereal, it aint too bad but if its proper painful then get it checked out, could be ingrowing or have tooth aids
i have at least 2 of mine and they don't give me any trouble or cause any pain but they told me i have to get them removed anyway. i am however traumatised after waiting at the dentist as a kid while my mum got hers removed. she screamed a lot. i had a lot of teeth pulled out before getting braces, so maybe i'm a bit immune to that kind of pain, but then again that was a very long time ago now
think of fluffy bunnies.
