Also, if there is a bed with just, like, a wallet on it, why will the cat always sleep next to or on the wallet?
My kittens adore boxes.
I love that picture
may be why, and because cat's are just cool and they can do crazy shit like that.
the other day, only for him to emerge from a shoe box about three hours later.
put plastic shopping bag on floor
let cat enter
pick up shopping bag
hang on door handle
my catz love this.
got my hand near clawed off.
It's why they always sleep on paper if there's some on your bed too.
Particularly ones that rustle
Proud as punch.
Best video ever. Thanks for this.
on a similar note:
if they got put in one, and shot or poisoned, that until you opened the box, they'd achieve some kind of weird dualistic immortality.
they like to hide in things / boxes, blankets, etc.
They are retreating to their 'cave' - it's instinct to do so and they feel safe and secure in an environment where they feel hidden and 'protected'.
Mother Nature etc.
but there are two other factors i can also see
1) they like to lurk...unseen ready to pounce......like if we scuff up our rug so there is a fold in it then the cat likes to lurk and then lash a paw out when a foot goes near cos its an ambush spot...their back is protected...they dont have to watch it and can fully concentrate forward....on their kill zone
2) with the rustling bags....much of cats prey....small things...take cover in bushes in grass in small hols in gaps and cracks.....so rustly things in restricted space are of great interest to them
I'm currently in the midst of moving house and packing is proving to be a nightmare..
this includes my armpit and crawling into my cardigan.
I am currently missing a dressing gown and various items of underwear..
