Problem Burning A CD (Hmm-centric)

proslo [Edit] [Delete] 01:59, 8 April '09

I'm making a mix for a friend. I've burned the CD, and it played fine, and then I printed out a photo and cut it out and stuck it on with simple glue, cutting out the hole for the middle and making sure nothing was sticking up.

I put it in my computer to see if it plays, and the sound it makes spinning is normal. It plays any track (1-18) fine, and I can move around... until about 2 minutes, every time, when it suddenly starts slowing down and making a clear noise like paper rubbing against the top of the CD drive.

If I take it out and put it in again (without smoothing it down or anything) it works again for a couple of minutes then just stops.

Er, any ideas why? I'm guessing it's off balance, but I've been really careful and cut away anything on the edges with a knife so it's pretty much perfectly symmetrical... is printing paper too thick?
