...could you, and would you, ask to keep the severed limb after the operation? I think it'd be pretty cool to have some of my own bones lying around the place (maybe on the wall) Sure, you'd have to deal with the decomposition first, but, alternatively I suppose you could maybe get it preserved if it wasn't too mashed up.
