    • Prawns are perfectly safe

Id defrost the steak, black pepper, cook some fresh prawns to slap on top serve it with a thousand island dressing and have some nice fat wedges on the side.

  • as long as it hasn't been defrosted and refrozen, yup

    MirriLondon | 6 Apr '09, 18:47 | X
  • As long as it's not bread or coffee beans then you'll be fine.

    gowman | 6 Apr '09, 18:47 | X
    • You can't

      freeze bread!!!

      whacksiddy @gowman | 6 Apr '09, 18:50 | X
      • You can freeze ANYTHING

        even bread

        matthewsmith87 @whacksiddy | 6 Apr '09, 18:53 | X
        • I know you can

          but they dont

          whacksiddy @matthewsmith87 | 6 Apr '09, 18:54 | X
          • It's OK, I understand.

            gowman @whacksiddy | 6 Apr '09, 18:55 | X
  • My Mum freezes absolutely everything

including beef. I haven't died from it yet, although I have experienced many tasteless chewy meals.

You can also freeze: bread, cheese, ham, milk, she even froze ready-made pasta sauces once. I don't know whether other people freeze those things, but it seems odd to.

    • Is your Mum the ice queen?

      gowman @tape-hiss-orchid | 6 Apr '09, 18:54 | X
      • hehehe

        atbay @gowman | 6 Apr '09, 18:55 | X
      • Freezing does tend to take away

from the flavour/make things a bit chewy generaly downgrades the quality of the food, why would you freeze cheese? They are some very odd things to freeze.

        matthewsmith87 @gowman | 6 Apr '09, 18:57 | X
        • The idea of frozen cheese is making me giggle.

          gowman @matthewsmith87 | 6 Apr '09, 18:58 | X
          • I'm glad my childhood is hilarious to someone.

I'm gonna ask her if she froze the milk from her own teat to make frozen mummycheese.

            tape-hiss-orchid @gowman | 6 Apr '09, 19:01 | X
            • Now you're just being silly.

              Tenner says she did.

              gowman @tape-hiss-orchid | 6 Apr '09, 19:03 | X
              • Brb, trying to work out how to make a sicky-face emoticon.

                tape-hiss-orchid @gowman | 6 Apr '09, 19:04 | X
    • my mum freezes milk

it goes a very unappetising colour

and bread, it tastes like shit when defrosted so i have no idea why she bothers

      Milo_Myage @tape-hiss-orchid | 6 Apr '09, 18:56 | X
      • Why dont these parents just

but what they need like? Then you wouldnt need to freeze stuff all the time
