it needs to be funny
not too long
about war or gangsters or something
nah, all he's ever read before the last few months (when i've been feeding him books) is goosebumps. and stephen king. he likes them but i wanna get him something he'll laugh at.
It's funny, any 19 year old fella should love it. No war or gangsters but loads of drugs which is an easy switch. And it's LITERARY, innit.
i never thought of it for him though! i think he'd probably like it, i might give him it next. he likes a lot of the same stuff as i do.
still need to get him a present though, i can't just give him one of my books, ha
the best history of the Mafia ever. It's brilliant.
by a country mile.
by the sound of things the length would immediately put him off, which is a shame.
that was the first one i gave him to read. he liked it a lot. i'm trying to think of something like it that i can give him, but yeah.
ahve you read closing time?
is it good?
Catch 22 is my alltime favourite book ever. Literally the one book I'd take to a desert island. Even above Hunter S Thompson's essays.
i'll report back. if it's even half as good as catch then it'll be awesome, i have high hopes.
yeah it's my favourite book ever ever ever too. though i think i'd take the inflatable book of raft building to a desert island.
it's really long but it's one of the best books i've read.
Slaughterhouse Five- Kurt Vonnegut. HAAASSS TO BE!
i already have slaughterhouse 5, so that's all good.
THANKS GUYS, FOR KNOWING MY BROTHER BETTER THAN I DO.
I was going to suggest Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut, or something by Carl Hiassen, Christopher Brookmyre or Elmore Leonard.
i think i'm going to do an epic amazon order. and i need something to read myself.
