I really genuinely wish I was down there. You don't get to see these things happen every day.
I bet she looks like a frog thats died.
she's got hair..
I might have a wander down after work if it is still going on, see w'happen.
she is blatantly about 15. I knoww you have boyish looks Phil, but come on, standards.
also that could easily be a fella
You can't see anything. Surely not even you've been without sex for that long that you'd fuck a pair of eyes?!
Just look at that sleazy policeman behind her admiring her bottom and licking his lips.
The mystery of her hair lip and snaggle tooth.
he's even suggestively licking his teeth for you tiger
are you wading into the crusties with your wadded up FT, pinstripe suit artfully torn up?
but mainly I'm laughing at how our senior lawyers have interpretted 'dress down', i.e. they've dressed exactly the same as they do every other day at work except for wearing a pristine pair of £400 jeans instead of pinstripe trousers. Good hustle guys! That'll throw the protestors off the scent for sure!
I'm not really a jeans expert I'm afriad. I'm sure that they're very ethical, expensive jeans though.
you know it was!
"I've just seen a girl unconscious being carried away, her whole face drenched in blood. This obv whipping up real anger

..Crowd here mainly students and hippy types - not the troublemaker crowd - but some of them have been seriously hurt.

Efforts to beat protesters back along queen vic st, toward the bank england, have resulted in v nasty scnes

Here, at least, it really does seem like pumped police looking for a fight. Protesters trying to sit down on road getting pounded.

aside from the sociopath brigade going "GOOD I LIKE IT WHEN PROTESTORS ARE BEATEN UP THAT'LL TEACH THEM TO PROTEST", this is pretty depressing/unsurprising to people, no?
But then that's standard procedure in this country now, sadly. Protesters are assumed to be aggressive and violent from the beginning, and any kind of dissent is treated as starting a fight.
'Kettling', where the police block the protesters into one area and refuse access in and out, is a particularly stupid tactic that might well limit any violence to one area, but that violence will probably kick off because somebody's dying for a piss and they're not being let through the blockade.
every hyped protest now results in police overkill and use of ridiculously overblown tactics. So a bit of a scuffle at the front results in tear gas and horses? Fucking pussies. I would try to lead this into a generalisation about how views have changed regarding the public and their rights over the past decade or so but I won't
I would be a vibrant protestor.
'penning' people in is really not a solution - it makes people frustrated, angry and uncomfortable. And then to baton charge areas to clear out the 'hardcore' who are probably long gone is plain idiotic. I'd like to see whoever initiated that today to be hung out to dry. 21st century policing my arse.
that's a very attractive fifth of a face and you mix in awkward crowds if you think that's a lad
or rather, she looks like a quarter of the face of a french girl i know. who is in fact very very pretty.
i don't think it's her though.
There was a pretty funny scene, with a single dreadlocked man shouting in the face of a riot cop, part of a line across the street. A small circle had formed of photographers and cameramen, with the BBC reporter giving a running commentary.
The media is clearly wanting a big scrap.
I don't see why a few football team's trying to secure their place in Champions League is causing QUITE such a fuss personally?
Then why the need to wear hoodies, ski masks, face scarves, gloves etc?
It's not that cold out is it?
isn't that a little bit contradictory?
