I've just found this job http://www.nationalmuseumjobs.org.uk/job/869/
it looks very tempting.
I've ran out of money before the end of the month on numerous occassions. Thank god I finish in July.
area dependent obviously.
you don't know London then?
would involve having somewhere to live I would imagine.
You can live in london for nothing if someone else pays for everything.
it's too much like torture being surrounded by stuff you can't afford to do.
that job is basically just looking for a warehouse person. just saying. its all lifting and carrying.
that's why the only want GCSEs. i have GCSEs.
can't imagine it would be much fun though
As long as you dont mind having much of a social life and eating cheaply
essentially that's the long and the short of it. I'm not knocking anyone for doing that if it works for them, but being given stuff is not the same thing as paying your own way for things on £7500 in London. Which basically ain't gonna happen right?
but generally cheap rents = not living centrally, and not living centrally = longer and more expensive commutes to work = limits on what you can do.
you can generally get away with just a bus pass (i always have), which are 50% the cost of a 1/2 travelcard, so obviously substantially less than 1-3/4 pass.
and 15-25 minutes never *really* works out as 15-25 minutes, especially if you're trying to get home after a night out.
but anyone who says "easily" is retarded
that means you're retarded too!
but it's worth working out the amount you'd be taxed off that. Not too much I'd imagine.
i find it hard to live at the minute and im not doing to badly plus im in belfast where things are loads cheaper
Live? Fuck no.
guess it means things are a bit tight, but it's certainly managable.
on 15k you get about £900 (bit more than that really) a months pay, so it's doable to live in london if you're careful about what you buy and when you go out. i did it, badly, as i got a loan too. but you can do it.
It seemed comfortable, but that seems to be because I was racking up loads of debt to keep going.
Now I'm on nearly double that, but I still don't have much money because of said debt acrued getting by on less. So choose wisely
Think of the children!
Just try and get cheap rent with rising bills and the crippling horrible council tax finance attack included.
