and they do their hair all like Greek goddesses and wear big huge ear-rings and loads of over-the-top make-up and huge purple shiny dresses and stuff.

How come, despite the fact they spend all day working on how they look, they never look particularly attractive? Like when you're at leavers dos, you just think 'I preferred you before you tried looking like some stupid magic sea princess'.
