what do you wear, where do you buy it?
Chinos and a shirt that you couldn't put a tie on, e.g. short sleeved gingham. Then you want a pair of penny loafers or boat shoes.
Chinos are fucking comfortable, which is a shame really.
where they were talking about the G20 protests and that bankers have been advised not to wear suits but casual clothes like chinos, polo shirts and deck shoes in order not to attract attention. Yep that will work, they won't stand out at all.
We've literally just had an email sent from the Hierarchy advising we 'dress down' and wear smart / Casual attire next week suggesting those very items. The mind boggles. I'm not a banker by the way.
nothing screams off duty chief exec like that combo.
'Oi is that a banker over there?'
'Nah just some bloke in reddish pink cords and a rugby shirt'
Our company decided to let us dress smart casual for a few years. It basically meant you could wear chinos and no tie instead of a suit. I had chinos already from working with a similar dress code so all it saved me was dry cleaning bills.
point and your groin and shout "It's Chino Time" don't you?
They're probably made of some sort of acrylic or something.
you get what you pay for.
hennes do some as well. and top shop.
Those are comfortable.
I don't remember Primark existing in 1994 and M&S's 'long' leg is actually fairly short.
get yourslef to primark tomorrow. i'll come with you if you like, i'm going to town tomorrow
i'm going to dorset tonight
can i have my shoes please?
but in a non-official sense, as long as you're looking smart its ok.
if this is for monday, i'd say its the trouser, shirt no tie deal
You'll find this means you can't wear jeans or 'cargo pants'. In fact you'll find only suit trousers and chinos have back pockets on the 'inside'.
i'd agree with everything you say there.
but this leaves shoes up in the air. i might try and buy some cheap plimsole style things today. where from please?
i'd get shoes. mine are at mums - feel free to borrow them
but they are too smart. when i went in to meet them everyone was wearing jeans.
well wear fucking jeans then! just weat what they were wearing.
and why are they under your bed?
and al my jeans are gone at the crotch. Is anybody else interested in this?
I borrowed your shoes for my work christmas party. only meant to have them for a day but here they are...
yes, chinos are ok, but if i was you i'd go to primark and get some shit trousers for £5 or whatever. and wear a shirt.
It's only the 'classic' look that involves some ridiculously poncy suede type ones.
