never seen this before, this is awful.
I've said this before, but the innumerable threads on this board are the only place I've seen this show so much as acknowledged.
I've never seen a thread on it.
i'm not sure i find it funny for the reasons they always intend but it's got laughs in it
and sara gilbert who i fancy a little bit
along with The IT Crowd and Nathan Barley
but I like the IT Crowd, purely for Matt Berry, I think he's been in some Saxondale episodes actually *thinks*
Maybe you need to have been in Shoreditch to get the full effect.
I just *shrug*
some people just dont seem to get it though.
But nothing amazing. Most of the time it's a cookie cutter US sitcom, no better than Everybody Loves Raymond (OK not that bad) or Two and a Half Men I know a few people who love it, they're crazy.
nobody loves raymond, it's worst than an especially moralising episode of scrubs
That's maybe a bit TOO harsh a comparison!
well i like everybody loves raymond... but scrubs is annoyingly serious at times.
though i'm not sure she really gets it
it isn't paticularly hilarious but is nice enough, the little moments of geekiness are done well
they aren't, at all.
I don't know, it's kind of endearing and slightly comforting. It doesn't challenge you, you just sit there and enjoy watching it unfold.
i've no idea how anyone could find it funny. so bad.
but then again horne and corden are popular...
sheldon is a pretty funny comic creation
its not as offensive as stuff like horne and corden, but on the few occassions where i have watched i dont think i have laughed once, and i just find the predictability of it really annoying too
and genuinely good stuff
I leave it on if its on but never activley seak it out and far many shows will knock if off the screen but if its on and its there it usualy remains. Its like shows such as My Wife And Kids and the like in terms of its inoffensive and pretty funny at times.
is probably pretty stupid. the whole thing's so obvious and predictable and just straight up stupid. its the kind of sitcom repressed middle aged people and children watch
It's okay, you're allowed to laugh along.
Of course we would. It's the laughter track, that's why we hate it!
its terrible, really bad characters, awful acting, itv standard jokes
There's an attention to detail in all the geeky references (they have a physics professor from UCLA as a script consultant) that is very endearing.
Cos they'd come out with these complex theories and and I'd think 'There's no way a physicist could ever be good at writing a sitcom'. So thanks for clearing that up.
ever ever ever.
Worse than Grownups?
I'll admit it's no work of genius, but it's not THAT bad.
haven't seen the other thing.
this is worse.
I'm baffled by peoples reaction to this, seriously.
And you know it.
Makes me laugh quite a lot. It heads up the pack of middling sitcoms. IT Crowd is probably slightly ahead, being the worst of the top ones.
and possibly a Cylon:
and this in abundance:
And it reunited David and Darlene.
I don't like Penny or Leonard, but Sheldon is aces. The rest just accomodate his fabulous-ness.
particularly the guy who used to be in Roseanne.
Sheldon is a brilliant comic creation - right up there with Cartman, Super-Hans and Rik from 'The Young Ones' IMO.
