is everyone else trying to whistle Omar's warning whistle from the Wire durring the R Kelly tracks?
Not only was there a man in the cupboard, but the man was a midget..."
"...midget... midget... midget..."
This was the first one of these I'd ever seen. Waaaay back in the day. Definitely before The Wire.
and i saw mcnulty in the london production of tom stoppard's rock and roll and blah blah blah OLD NUWZ and the black priest guy was a real life gangster and carcetti is irish BLAH
Scoff all you like, I take pleasure in noting which users are adhering to the Wire Internet Forum Schedule: Current turnaround for finding out about The Wire, watching The Wire, getting hooked on The Wire, posting a thread about how much they're hooked on The Wire, getting more hooked on The Wire, looking up trivia for The Wire on Wikipedia and posting what they find here is about 6 weeks.
Lance Reddick's music is a good one - we've had about four of those threads in the last year or so. MINE WAS FIRST.
an impromptu rendezvous........
(i wanted to put hash symbols around that, but im on a mac and can't find them)
But it kind of works like that for me regarding anything in life:
"Sean finds out about Mint Aero, eats lots of Mint Aero, gets hooked Mint Aero, posts a thread about how much they're hooked on Mint Aeros, gets more hooked on Mint Aero, looks up trivia for mint Aero and posts what they find here."
I was trying to prove to my mate that the South Park episode piss take of Tom Cruise was based on a 'rock opera' and he didn't believe me. Then up popped batty bad boy Omar Little
I think I found that fact funnier than the midget bit...
started out serious, then R Kelly got a pasting for it and he and his label turned it into a comedy?
Besides this one, I've only seen up to episode 6: I find it hard to believe anyone could consciously make this any funnier than it is, let alone R Kelly himself. The sheer number of parodies out there that just don't come close should serve as proof.
analysis of this is brilliant.
