You'd be happier with lower expectations (LCD TV centric)

Teepee_uk [Edit] [Delete] 11:11, 16 March '09

Let's say I've scrimped and saved £600 quid for a decent LCD TV. I want a 32in, 1080p, 10k to 1 contrast minimum , and a refresh rate of 100hz or equivalent, and a reasonable make (Panasonic, Samsung, etc). For £500 quid-ish, I think I should be able to get these things, and am reluctant to pay another ton seeing as I'll have to pay that in insurance for the screen itself anyway.

Questions...
Am I expecting too much for my money?
If I wait another couple of months, will prices fall through the floor?
Can you insure LCDs against breakdown with name insurers for less than you'd pay instore?
Have you seen something like the TV for about the right money?

I need answers, social board. Help me!
