Cheers lads/lads with boobs?
trying to procrastinate like a bastard (in a Berlin internet cafe). Just call me Barry the Bandwidth Bandit
Please end a draw. Thanks
Are there any others?
then next week they'll draw to Wigan or something and undo all the good work from this game knowing them.
yeah they might well do it actually, but every time they get it one of their defenders hoofs it upfield and there's no one there to pick it up. bringing dossena on won't change that i don't think.
is a fucking spanner
what a fucking time to turn in a performance like this
Cue Liverpool fan arguing with kissingkansas for the remainder of the day
Anderson and Carrick both shite. Andy Gray struggling to keep his cock in his trousers
well done aurelio, you fucking cunt
have given the game to Liverpool, they haven't even had to do anything. They've just sat back in their usual defensive as fuck way and waited for the errors.
another dip in United's form at the business end of the season, you could set your fucking watch by it
Still four points clear with the game in hand. Still I guess this keeps things interesting well into April at the very least.
fuck off and die, cheers
how much trouble our defence are having with the exotic 'hoof up the field' tactic. All we can hope is that this is the kick up the arse the City defeat last year was
everyone apart from Park should hang their heads today
but no one seemed to work to give him any options.
i think it was a game for fletcher more than park. we needed much more strength in the centre.
we'll be fine. our defence just got far far too rattled by torres and never recovered.
and i think fergie made a total balls up with the subs. needed to have the guts to take tevez or ronaldo off, and keep some shape - giggs and scholes are never going to take control of midfield, and it just handed them the game.
credit where it's due though, that's as good as i can remember liverpool playing - even if all their goals were handed to them on a plate, it was them pressuring that led to it.
and they had the midfield completely bossed.
misplaced passes all over the show. Think we'll be seeing a Fletcher-Carrick combo for most of the remainder of the season
but i thought carrick was worse. anderson's passing was incisive but a touch erratic, he played a few through balls that were very nearly fantastic.
carrick just didn't do anything.
no excuses though, they clearly wanted it more. our lot scored the goal and thought it'd be easy.
i'd expect a reaction next week.
but he's looked far more effective alongside Fletcher than alongside either Anderson or Scholes. Way too much complacency going on from United today though. I'm just staggered that Vidic picked today to defend like a complete twat
by our most hated rivals. Apologies if I'm not on my finest form, but you know.
you act as if its entirely man utd's fault for the loss. as if liverpool didnt even play well. dead silly.
Liverpool clearly wanted it more, which is the most frustrating thing of all. But the fact is, United were terrible both in defence and midfield, and two of their goals came from relatively aimless balls up the field.
I've never been so eager to see Wes Brown come back.
liverpool played well, but the whole game turned on vidic letting that ball bounce.
before that liverpool didn't really have a sniff. afterwards we imploded.
they played as well as i've seen them - we played as badly as i've seen us.
Or lose by 3 goals at home? This is a stat I want to find..
I was so excited watching Giggs, Scholes and Berbatov coming on. It was like the feckin cavalry arriving. And then... vidic off, more goals. heartbroken
fuck it, I'm rolling myself a fat spliff
Spur us on to get our act together and win EVERYTHING. Cheers Liverpool
And Man Utd can't break Chelsea's record of only 15 conceded in a league season, which makes me happy.
That really was ridiculously bad though, I mean what the hell were they doing, it was laughable. I think even West Brom would've scored a couple against Utd today. Liverpool didn't have to do anything to win that game.
with it being a professional foul and that. To be honest, Jonny Evans coming into the defence might not be such a bad thing at the minute
i think it's one.
you might be right though.
Putting 4 past both Real Madrid and Man United in the space of 4 days is pretty impressive. Of course, they were both rubbish and not anything at all to do with anything good that Liverpool might have done (we are just SO defensive), but impressive nonetheless.
Now if only we hadn't drawn all those games at home. We really should be like 15 points clear.
but don't have what it takes to consistently beat teams like Stoke and Middlesboro, in league football you need to do both.

Barclays Premier League
Chelsea 0-0 (HT 0-0) Hull ?
that doesn't have anything to do with LIVERPOOL does it?
now there's a head I would never tire of stamping on
nice balanced punditry from sky...
he could've done much better with everything bar the penalty. especially the last two.
people look at that record and start wanking over him, when in reality it's the defence not him. He's a good organiser, that's clear but from a technical goalkeeping point of view, he's nothing special.
but i'd honestly have foster in as first choice next season.
fucked up for both goals. If the Blackburn game hadn't already sealed his fate, that almost certainly will.
i wish we'd kept howard. were far too quick to discard him when his form dropped a bit.
I remember Howard having an outstanding game against City at OT, then getting dropped never to be seen again a couple of months later. I think Foster will turn out to be a better keeper, but Howard has done a good job for Everton. VDS had next to nothing to do during United's outstanding defensive run tbh
i'd expect my keeper to save at least one of the liverpool goals. probably two. or at least y'know, dive for them.
he's a poor pundit, but not outrageously pro-Liverpool. I do enjoy watching him get taken to school by Souness and Gullit on Chumps League nights though
i'd just rather they had someone on who had some kind of fondness for utd.
seeing anti-United meeja types choke on their own bile when we win just gives me even more pleasure. Though that does make days like today even worse
JEEEEESUS this thread is bad
just a select few, most of whom write for the Mirror
used to play for them. and relatively few played for united.
but there's no real bias or anything. media loves whoever wins.
that method had crossed my mind. I'm not a neo-Nazi though, srsly
gifted every goal. Whole defense was a shambles.
You know what makes it so good?
THe fact that I've rarely seen Liverpool rape United. 2001 was nice, but this. Fuck me.
What makes it so much better is the fact everyone predicted 3-0 United. Can I just say, all those who put bets on them beating us, I'm so glad you lost yer cash.
Cos this land's the place I love. x
We bummed your fucking teeth in.
Fergie's expression was worth 10 championships.
but I hate Liverpool fans...with a passion. The way they think that they're owed something, their awful sense of self-importance, that someone's always "on them", the way they need a minutes silence for this, that & the other.
Liverpool fans - fail.
Up the Owls, btw!!!!
stop being shit
they've spent on players in the last few seasons. Ah yes...
fucking watford :@
we made football as popular as it is today. we're the guardians of football. we deserve respect from everyone, particularly the embarrassingly shit Manchester United.
a hint of sarcasm, but it is EXACTLY what they think. It's ridiculous.
English, European and world champions you mean?
But by all means, dry your eyes with your 'world champions' medal.
I have no problem admitting that. You're still four points behind us, though. How shit does that make you?
Maybe it was just a one-off. How about the game before that? 4-0?
that sort of result has been coming for a while. I would have preferred it if it hadn't happened today, but them's the breaks. I fully expect United to stumble over the line to the league though. Vidic might have been poor today but he's been immense all season. Torres just had a great game and got the better of him today.
I wasn't actively hoping we'd get Liverpool in the CL draw next Friday, but that's the only way for us to get some local pride back. That said, I'd happily settle for Liverpool taking six points off us each season if we still won the league at the end of it.
Nah. If he'd have been at the top of his game, the score would've been ridiculous. He looked dodgy. That's just how good he is. Even when he's off colour, he makes mockeries of the 'best defences in the world'.
I'm praying we do get you in the Champions League, because I know for a fact we'll rape your teeth in.
a punchable pale shove-off horse
he looks like a thin Sandy Toksvig.
you do realise you don't get a trophy for taking six points off us? City managed it last season. You still have a four-point defecit (with a game in hand) to overhaul. I'd save my bragging if I were you.
the be all and end all of it is: Liverpool spanked United at Old Trafford.
If I die today, I die a very, very happy boy.
reel them out, scumchester boys. 'never won the premier league!'
let's not go into our teams' histories guys. I think you'll end up a bit disappointed
no league titles since the advent of the internet, for example. Anyway, like I say, wait for the end of the season.
no league titles to show for them though. A cautionary tale.
WHY the hell wasnt the draw yesterday? frustrating.
your defence was awful, West Brom would've scored a couple today.
infinitely more bearable than that scouse lot
Better than Liverpool could ever play, with a touch of class & dignity.
Man, scousers are pissing me off recently.
is the jealousy we get from people like yourself.
:) cheer up mate! once upon a long ago, Wednesday were in the Premiership! at least you have the memories.
and i'm old enough to
* i do actually remember when we were in the premiership, i just wish i didn't
Lets face it, the Premiership is a business. It's not football as it used to be. It's lost it. The nearest to proper, English footy is the Championship. Games are tight, level playing field, English players.
I have no desire for Wednesday to play in Europe.
mate watching the championship is like watching Sunday League. Bunch of fat wankers. The goals are all shit keeper errors. Awful league. I'd probably rather watch Scottish football than Divisionfucking 1.
You're meant to annoy people, not make yourself look like an ignorant tit.
nothing much, same old same old, yourself?
jesus christ youre rubbish.
I love self righteous fans of lower division teams. If you ever got promoted you'd be delighted, don't be so stupid.
Foreign players?! What the hell has that got to do with anything you nazi tosser?
blah blah blah, foreginers this, foreigners that. People that mention foreigners in relation to football need a slap.
I didn't even know he was German, just looked, oh dear :(
Are you the site bell-piece or something? The English players thing was a casual observation, not a racist rant. I'm all for the influx of good foreign footballers, but when it stunts the growth of potentially world class English players, it's a little frustrating.
But I mean really "Nazi tosser" for an off-the-cuff footballing comment? Jesus!!! You need a ball-emptying session.
cos the only glory you experience is with England. It's understandable.
because of no other reason that they're foreign, is racist. It doesn't stunt the development of young English talent, if they're good enough the English players WILL make it at the top level. Blaming foreigners for sub-standard English talent is ridiculous, if we restrict foreigners then they'll just be replaced domestic players that aren't international quality, what's the point? If anything it improves our young talent because they have to push themselves to compete and aren't simply given a place in the starting line-up of a Premiership club.
But it isn't racist...
Well thats not true is it?
Fulham and Wigan aren't bad at home and Boro seem to beat the big teams but you'd still expect a fatigued Man Utd to win at least 2 out of 3 of those. Arsenal might beat 'em and Villa could give 'em a game but I just can't see 'em throwing away enough points for 'Pool or Chelsea to catch them.
And it's definitely true in the Championship and the rest of the football league.
But I do think Man Utd are just so much better than the likes of, say, Hull, Fulham or Boro that I can't see enough of them beating Man Utd to take the title from them.
I quite like Ronaldo's new haircut?
Seriously though, shocking performance, Vidic was woeful for some bizarre reason. Not that it really matters because Liverpool will fuck up against a shite side not too far away.
Liverpool: The Best Side In The World From 10-14 March
cos we'll absolutely dish it to you.
The league's yours, but United fans tend to shit themselves at the prospect of us pipping them to the post. Ah well. World Champions, I spose.
i wish i actually had anything sensible to contribute to these discussions
But this season is far from over for anyone. Ferguson was warning against complacency earlier in the week, and after going through midweek, I think we saw what complacency does, especially after going 1-0 up.
I think it's going to be tense stuff for the rest of the season for everyone.
But like I said, let's see who is shining their silverware.
did ronaldo do a "AM GUNA CRY" face and have a tantrum?
Not much else you can do when you are so roundly thrashed than shrug your shoulders and say "fuck".
then him or rooney decide to kick someone out of frustration.
Fergie's face was the best. I've not seen him as happy as when they scored. And then when he thought they'd equalised. But it wasn't to be.
Boots will be flying.
Ronaldo's been invisible today.
i'm never usually vicious, but he's the only man in the world i wish death upon.
His old guard don't have much left in their tanks.
You should've seen it. At 2-1 they made a super substitution - GIGGS SCHOLES AND BERBS, here to save the day. I can't remember any of them having a touch.
When United finally get the courage to let go of their grandads, they'll probably let go of a lot of fans too.
ps. how come united's centrebacks look like dinosaurs?
Seeing Man Utd lose is always fantastic. Seeing them abused in quite this fashion is just epic
Can't believe it. Fucking Liverpool. Arseholes. Scouse arseholes.
