notrhern ireland (girls)
i grew up with barnet greek cyrpriot which is awful. harsh and cockneyfied.
my ex was from leeds. it was painful
pretty much all vowels are pronounced 'uhhhhhh' in leeds.
Luckily hers was quite soft, but still...I had to meet her friends.
or is that untolerable?
American (girls. Not yokel though)
posh deep south
(all girls, obvs)
is an odd name for a Glaswegian man...
I sound like ive got a permanent cold.
Yorkshire, Darlington (so long as it's soft)
not geordie or general non-specific southern
this may partly explain why i love frightened rabbit so much, om nom
What about North Yorkshire accents?
Lose the zero, get with the hero.
woman - american, mid west or california. spanish. french.
men - welsh. irish. brooklyn. baltimore.
luckily she doesnt have an accent.
I dont know why, it wasnt even that good! just took me by suprise!
swan jokes: they dont work
Bruce Willis' bird in Pulp Fiction, amazing.
West Country la la la
Think that’s it.
Most people say liking girls with Welsh accents makes me a wrong'un. :(
many of my friends who i introduced her to thought she was french initally. obviously when she said she was welsh it all makes sense.
but yeah welsh accent = hot
French people speaking french. French guys speaking english generally sound awful.
but I'm still saying you're wrong. Unless you're scottish in which case I love you.
Irish, scottish, french. German (cos they sound dirty) Definately not South African though. They scare me. Probably since Joss Ackland in lethal weapon 2 uttered the words 'diplomatic immunity'
with a french accent makes me want to stab sharpened pencils into my ears. the scenes in pulp fiction with the french girl are unwatchable. Audrey Tautou speaking french on the other hand is enchanting.
scandanavian accents also lovely.
I'm a fan of:
I also kind of like the Home Counties/posh North London thing
is clearly the best.
They are the best. And I know what you're thinking - don't think that.
Are you mental? The only accent more upsetting than white South African
a. the inhabitants
Only mild accents, obviously (the further south you go the worse it gets... by the time you reach Dunedin it's all OH GOD PLEASE MAKE IT STOP), up in Auckland it's got some lovely affectations.
Auckland is all put-on phony posh, trying to wipe away there provincial roots.
Like Pru and Drew in kath & kim.
Mostly it's just the mildest (read: less clipped) of kiwi accent groups.
whatever it is these days
Scottish (women) ireckon does it for me.
Sadly for me i live in the Black Country so i'm about as sexy as a scouse!
Because whatever action he's got going on in his voicebox is intense
probably due to watching the eagle has landed to many times. He was born in canada though and studied in London according to wiki.
makes me melt. I also find a Scottish lilt particularly appealing.
spanish girls (when they talk all angry, corrrr)
geordie girls (when they get really excitable and happy, corrrr)
to be honest if the girl was pretty i would find even the worst accents a turn on. probably the only thing that wouldn't work is a really posh accent. it wouldn't turn me off of her, it's just i wouldn't find that accent endearing in any way.
scotish accent on men
french on girls
russian,so long as they have cold eyes
On women, it has to be non-British. I have a thing for Scandinavians, but I quite like Italian accents as well.
Soft Southern US drawl
certain southern accents
one certain guy's guatemalan accent
scottish, irish, english.
don't really have a preference to type of english accent, though my family is primarily from the west midlands/wolverhampton area, so that's what i'm used to.
french girls. all de irish boys should get married to all de french girls.
You're gonna be drawn to foreign accents, or ones different to your own tho, coz they're all rare and exotic from your perspective, I guess.
has made me decide that I shall go to uni in England. :)
greek(with above preferences mentioned earlier by someone else)
french. not to local, if you know what i mean?
female jazz singers who smoked for whole life and had a heroin addiction.
sqweaky high painful voices... like the girl from marie antoinette, the movie....one of the side actoresses.
i think you should really meet some of them before you say anything about there accents. bluugh!
but non the less. we thank you all.
