1-0 to Man Utd
1-1 in Rome.
or at least I hope so, it will kill my bet otherwise
Are you some kind of idiot?
I expect a 2-1 Man Utd win. Arsenal will win in Rome, 2-0 I reckon.
Inter equalise in the 87th minute.
Roma 2-1 Arsenal
The Polish commentator didn't get very excited, I guess their teams don't see much European action. :)
anyone got a good Man Utd vs Inter stream?
Link provided by denise-richards (thanks)
inter look flat.
when the bright lights are on.
what a goal that would've been from stankovic
SHOULD NEVER EVER BE IN FRONT OF GOAL.EVER.
to Barcelona already. Looks like it's gonna be a goalfest!
with wanting man u to go out
is annoying because mark bright? wright? whoever he is, keeps calling clichy, cliche. that irritates me.
the amount of chances Giggs squandered. His final ball was woeful.
he's indecisive when he breaks into the box.
I mean when there are clearly people open around him and he passes too short or not even seeing them.
i still love him tho.
it's just a shame that Ibrahimovic's excellent general play was ruined by that header he missed, should really be scoring those at this level.
I agree with you on Balotelli and Santon, they both look like great prospects, although the Italians have been expecting a lot from Balotelli for a while, Santon is the one who seems to have appeared as if from nowhere.
theyve tucked the tie away
undeserved, but I guess Inter should've scored when they were on top.
a miss that cost me £200. Silly cunt
if all four english clubs go through.
their defence actually looks really good
I wasn't just talking about this game
come on arsenal, arrgh!
i fucking hate penalties
Almunia was never going to save any of them. Roma's 2 misses were awful.
Almunia correctly stayed in the middle for Vucinic's penalty and nearly got a couple of really difficult ones from Pizarro and Riise. Doni looked less likely to save them.
also, I genuinely believe I could have saved Vucinic's effort. It was woeful.
that penalty shootout was quality, although Roma would've won it, if Doni had have stayed in the middle of his goal a second longer on each penalty.
Cool as fuck from Arsenal though, good thing they didn't have a load of Englishmen to take them.
The actual quality of all but a couple was extremely low.
No one will want to draw us now!
appalling effort, one of the very worst I've seen
but he did look good in the first half, held up the ball very well, showed some nice touches etc. should've scored when he hit the bar though.
admittedly not much, but it's my first win so far and almost cancels out the £25 I've spent, so I'm pleased.
I put £5 on Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Barcelona & Porto to progress after the first leg. The odds were shit, but I still fancied it, Barca for example were 1/8. The added importance of the penalty shoot out in the Arsenal game, made it more exciting, which was a bonus :)
Obviously I was flying the flag for the gunnerz, and walked out with a huge grin on my face.
I'm glad we've shown we've still got the strongest European contenders.
My heart has a large parking space for Arsenal. They're the only one of the top 4 that we've never had a reason to hate - the reason for that being that they've never really done anything evil.
I'd much rather we didn't get you, though. I'm pretty certain the vast majority of United fans are shitting themselves at the prospect of meeting the mighty Liverpool in the Champions League, and that's what I'd wanna see more than anything.
they're just not that easy to hate it would seem, unless you're a spurs fan.
please, please make it happen. I'd actually pay money to see it happen.
If we beat them, I'd rather have a break from them and get them in the final. But if they win at Trafford, I'll just want to have another go at them as soon as possible and knock them out asap.
nasri had another very ineffective game, walcott seems a far more dangerous and direct player. van persie is not really suited to the lone striker role, i'd prefer to see him tucked in behind someone, but obviously that's problematic in a 4-5-1. almunia made a couple of great saves, he never gets the credit he deserves. as kissinginkansas pointed out, where the fuck was gallas when the penalties were being taken? denilson was horribly lightweight in midfield. clichy is looking more and more shaky the longer the season goes on. diaby impressed me, he never stopped fighting.
But fair play to him, at least he didn't take one. It's better than what Terry did.
literally the worst game of top flight football i have ever seen. Even the penalties were rubbish. Relieved to see Arsenal go through though.
I want Barcelona in the next round!
Roma's first, Baptista's and Riise's were ok and then Van Persies was alright but apart from that all of them could have been saved. However in the end it only matters if it goes in, so I don't care how bad they were. As long as we don't have to face United or liverpool in them.
how can a goalie get cramp?!
