going down the Rue Des Beaux-Arts is really lovely and bohemian. There's a great icecream shop down there too. Getting falafel in the Jewish quarter is also a winner.
It's possibly the most traditionally French restaurant ever, gruff waiters, paper tablecloths, jugs of wine, really good food at pretty reasonable prices. But get there early, otherwise you have to queue for a while, and they don't hold much by your position in the queue - they just pick people out at random
