probably my favourite film ever made.

the casting is pretty much perfect. BOB HOSKINS. JOHN LEGUIZAMO. DENNIS HOPPER basically being dr. evil. and saying "GOOOMBA(R)!" loads.

the 80/early 90s that was SO popular and had an obligatory nightclub scene. the set design and dress being absolutely insane and making NO SENSE. the blatant product placement of reebok on bo-bombs.

the use of sonic youth's first drummer alongside minkowski from lost.

how the goombas look absolutely NOTHING like the ones from the videogame but more like marlon harewood / d'angelo barksdale.

maybe it just seemed especially good after seeing Watchmen. Which is probably in the top 5 worst films i've ever seen. laughably, offensively awful.
