my current favourite it Georgia. Trebuchet though is nice.
but I'm now branching out into Verdanna.
...that The Designer's Republic created for the old Wipeout computer games. Not particularly document-friendly though, unfortunately.
I have simple pleasures. I've been through all the fonts and none please my eye more than the Microsoft Word standard. I'll maybe dip into Futura for signs and stuff like that, but I wouldn't type up something with it.
but i like that you are using a serif font.
for use at work..verdana all the way.
For other more creative stuff...all-time favourite has to be Template gothic
and this is my favourite thread heading of the day! :)
basically sans serif ftw.
Because it's the only one as standard on Windows, Mac and Linux PCs, hence it'll look the same on all of them.
anything else im flexable. I like helvetica a lot.
Serif: Georgia is nice (Times, but more character)
Sans: Tahoma (Verdana but more compact and neater imho)
Less formal Sans: Trebuchet MS (nice subtleties)
Schoolboy error on posters: Comic Sans
Nice alt option: Century gothic
Seriously though, how brilliantly indulgent is it to be spoddy about typefaces? Answer: very. :-)
