It can be in a serious game, a kickabout, a sprint to a bus stop, whatever, just pick your moment of triumph.

You can do it in two styles: 1) that of the appropriate commentator for the sport or 2) that of a post-match interview using footballer past-present tense speech.

Here’s mine:

“Yeah, you know, I’ve sort of blocked their shot and gone for the rebound. The ball’s fell to Chrissy, who’s beaten his man, looked up and spotted me running into the gap. He’s squared it to me and I’ve waited for the keeper to commit before putting it in the corner. It’s always nice to get on the scoresheet, but as long as the team’s winning, that’s all that matters”
