It's actually dead good. I was genuinely impressed.
I got 2 pairs of fit glasses for £115 with an eye test and coating.
My last single pair cost £130
where you felt they were disinterestedly wheeling you through and moving onto the next customer. But it wasn't like that at all - the optician seemed pretty genuine about wanting to get as thorough a test done as possible and spent ages checking out a possible issue in my left eye and then a guy spent about fifteen minutes going through glasses with me to find what suited me best...
but trying to get contact lenses there took ages. They said they'd phone me back about appointments and then never did, and the one time I managed to book one I showed up and there was no-one there. So I gave up and went back to wearing glasses.
and I like that little tool they have for melting/bending the frames
but thats only the one time
they made one pair too big and one pair too small on the frame and legs
i'm pretty sure they have altered the way one of my ear's bend :/
they didn't help at all when asking them to refit them eitherr
It was only after having my eyes tested elsewhere that I found out that I wasn't. This was 15 years ago, admittedly. I'm short sighted these days.
They were really good, had a contact lens checkup and sight test and they were really nice and helpful and chatty, cheap too. Got some new contact lenses straight away and I'm gonna go back and get some new glasses as I get a third off for being a student. Might have my hearing checked too just for the fuck of it as it's free.
i went to them in glasgow and they correctly diagnosed my "near point of convergeance" when every other opticians couldn't find anything wrong with my eyes... and i still couldn't read. massive props. bought my first pair there and go there for my eye test each time now. probably should go soon again but i just these glasses last year...
