The death of the Blockbuster film, and it's glorious return...

olegrich [Edit] [Delete] 14:06, 5 March '09

With Watchmen and Star Trek coming up, the blockbuster has made a welcome return to the cinema. I know there have been films which have had immense commercial success, but there haven't really been that many in the last few years. In fact, the only two real ones I could think of were Transformers and the dark knight. Films that seem like an actual occasion when you go and see them at the cinema, and are best viewed on the cinema screen. Whilst there have been successes like slum dog millionaire, and the wrestler, it wouldn't make much difference if you watched it on DVD really would it?

So rejoice in the return of the blockbuster. I've missed them...
